Thought we'd head club shop and on complex to let it die down. Only just got off that wank rubble carpark next to the police station. Like parking on fucking mars.

Hotel carpark was full. So was scotts even though it wasnt. Queued for half hour to get in hotel.

Bring back 12k gates :D

We did similar and went to JD then a brew in Asda. Got in the car at 6, on to DHW at 6.30 and home at 6.45 so can’t grumble. At least the rubble car park gets right of way at the roundabout by Next.

Bit shitty on those who have paid 8 quid and were still queuing to get off at half 6. The lights should be set permanently on green for those who pay for the privilege rather than the likes of me who plonk their car outside Home Bargains for 3 hours.

We need a right bastard in midfield.

It’s the number one priority in January for me.

The strikers aren’t great but decent service shoukd see us bag enough for the play offs (automatic is long gone).

A ball winning, horrible bastard.

Them coaching badges obviously werent wasted

Fwiw, even though lee and sheehan came off, there was more to the change than that

Way too much overthinking going on imo

2 top 6 teams have cancelled each other out

1 of em misses the best chance of the game and couldve won it with the last kick

The other came nearest to scoring

One last thing, can the sadlier fanclub tell me why they think evatt doesnt play him much

No whataboutery, its a simple enough question

Because he either starts at wing back, a position he isn't suited to and where his lack of defensive nous could leave us exposed, or because we have to change the formation to accommodate him in his best position.

People are obviously free to their opinions but I think he has a quality delivery in, and with a run in a position he's suited to could prove himself an asset.

It isn't going to happen, though.

"Could" being the operative word. I reckon Evatt knows best.

Cant see us finishing in the top 2.

Big January incoming.

Did I imagine it or was it all stewards and no police outside the ground, especially outside the away end?

Possibly related but not of that great interest to me, a mate of mine messaged and said some of our lot who are that way inclined got a right pasting outside the ground.

I actually thought we were far the better team all round but just have no cutting edge. Some of the approach play was excellent but we just waste chances to create. Another 2 points wasted.

You’d didn’t imagine it. There was a line of large plastic barriers with stewards in front.

Maybe GMP wanted too much money on a Bank Holiday.

Thos plastic barriers?

Wtf were they about

Load of bollocks severs no purpose either don’t bother or keep the away fans behind for 5 minutes

They were the shittest large away following ever seen at our place btw.

Ive heard 200 Fleetwood make more noise.

Not a bad point, we were the better team and had 2 clear cut chances.

Felt the game has summed up our season so far. We are playing well and controlling games, but are wasteful in front of goal when we do get chances or in the final 3rd.

It's this reason why we aren't consistent and won't trouble the top 2.

Being more punishing and unrelenting is what differentiates the promotion sides from the rest and is sometbing to build towards this and next season.

Today was a big positive though, great to see such a big attendance, 25.5 thousand in the 3rd tier is astonishing. Think it's fair to say our fanbase is growing.

Big few games coming up now. All difficult and playing teams around us. But having seen the "best" teams in the league this season, we really don't have anything to fear.

Play our game and punish them when we can

Just watched the game back now (basically fast forward the recording until anything happens that was worthy of Sky showing a replay)

52nd minute Iredale a bit lucky not to give away a penalty for a VERY late tackle on Collins. Hadn’t really noticed it at the time.

Charles’ chance gets more glaring with each replay

Hendrie raving about our one touch football

Bradley absolutely everywhere. Like a Yorkshire terrier, chases every ball. Just needs to learn that sometimes you’re better leaving it to those better placed rather than trying to get on the end of every ball possible

Imagine the scenes if Kachunga had scored at the end 🤣

Thought Exeter made more noise when you compare it to Sunderland and  sheff wed they were quiet who filled it . Weather was better back then though

Got to say though to bring over 5 k shows what a big club they are and a crowd of 25k when it is also on sky fair play to everyone 👏

An observation:

I noticed that every steward inside the WSL (South) was of Asian extraction. The only stewards I recognised from having been sat in the same area for 25 years were the ones who ‘police’ the away supporters. There was a time when the stewards were so regular you’d be on nodding terms with most and first name terms with some.

What happened?

Probably had to re-deploy some of the regulars to more pressing positions with it being a bigger gate than usual

As the WSL and ESL are the areas where anything inside the ground happens (due to their proximity to away section) I’d say taking the regular stewards away to steward other areas and replacing them with inexperienced first timers is slightly flawed.

Plenty of police outside the away end before and after. Just low key.

They also had PC Rain in attendance who is one of their best officers.

Absolutely.

That bloody constable harrased us all the way home.

Not if they moved them to within the away end itself or crazy corner

I thought the Derby fans were loud when they chipped up, but not very often.

As for our fans, it's pretty noisy in the ESL/ESU but don't hear a peep from any other section.

Worst big away attendance I've ever seen.

Large crowds can fuck off though.

Dion should have broke the net ,I honestly thought it was going in.

Kachunga got too much instep on it .

Happy with the point in those conditions.

At one time we would have lost that.

Never mind "thought it was going in".... I was already up and jumping about celebrating, then it went wide. Looked a right twat 😂

Thought it was a great game (for a 0-0) and was two good teams cancelling each other out really. Would've taken a draw before hand but the couple of missed chances and the fact they didn't really live up to what many of us thought, made it feel like 2 points dropped.
