Visited the Typhoon place at Warton a few times pre-Covid. Complaining that any bits made in Italy usually needed “re-engineering” before assembly.

The lock in was fun, but imagine the mood if we had conceded on 90+2. The T+Cs may say this and that, but under what legal power can they stop you leaving. None( to my knowledge) unless you are arrested or detained by a police officer.

Is it legal to keep us all up in the stand? What legal power are the police using? Presumably none of us were arrested or formally detained. I guess if anyone challenged their legal authority they would just reduce ticket allocations for future games.

I've refused to accept that Wigan are our rivals. Was always Rovers, Blackpool and yes United in my day. Preston and Bury never really registered. When I use to work in Wigan over 40 years ago used to wander down to some evening games at Springfield Park with mates for a few beers. But these last 10 years has got under my skin. And listening to that crap from the announcer pre game was the pits. Boil well and truly lanced.

I like Dempsey as well, but he’ll almost be 31 when his contract expires. So if someone wants to pay us money for him this summer he can go for me.

Need to keep the wage bill under some sort of control. Presumably Santos, Jones and Coleman will be off the payroll this summer and possibly Baxter. Santos must be one of the higher earners as IE has built all his teams around him. Think one of our more valuable assets will have to be sold to fund an out and out striker unless there's a good option for a loan. Vic, Dempsey, Johnston, Southwood, Tutu, Forrester and Mendes Gomes out of contract in 2026 and I'd be trying to move 2 or 3 of those on at least.

Pension fuck up
Which scheme are you in? If you have only been in 4 years I'm guessing Alpha. You can normally take a 25% lump sum if in Alpha. It's a Career Average Defined Benefit Scheme. If you've told your HR your going you should be getting a retirement quote from Civil Service Pensions which will set out what you will get and the maximum lump sum you can take out. https://www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk

Went to the 77 Boxing Day game in a mates van. Remember signing “Ray Train, Ray Train going so fast”. Don’t think he was that fast and was Peter Reid size tall. But did OK for the couple of seasons he was here.

My Sky stream is just up to 83 mins and 25 seconds. Not sure what all the negative comments are about. We can still win this.- Bristol Rovers (A)
No sound but better than nothing- Wigan Athletic (A)
4231 allocation. Is that more than last year?- Blackpool (A)
In but hard work. All gone at 1002 but kept refreshing and obviously someone else didn't complete and got tickets.- Tv Shows
This sort of stuff not usually to my taste, but was a good watch. The story hadn't really registered with me either.- Birmingham City (H)
Can’t see Forino or Mendes Gomes starting 2 games in a week at the moment, expect both to be on the bench if Forrester is fit. Ideally Toal wouldn’t be playing twice in a week either until he has a run, but needs must- The Table
Most of Schon's are for mouthing off at referees.- Transfer Gossip
Will Forrester Alan Fork (ex Wimbledon but his wiki says he managed our reserves 2008/10. Don't remember that.- Season Tickets
A couple of years ago a “friend” went on line to renew in Feb/March and they reached 65 in April. His online quote was for full price but he went down to the ticket office and queried it, the nice lady there said he was entitled to the reduced rate and renewed it there and then at the over 65 rate. Might be worth calling in. As an aside he had his first (but not last) senior moment before renewal by asking if Over 65 meant you had to be 66.- Todays Games
Wouldn't have been happy if given against us, but hey ho.- Football Ventures
Think they will be just happy we are still trading and they've a chance to get their (our) money back when we return to the big time. "around £226 million of the British Business Bank's Future Fund loans have been written off due to companies going insolvent, representing a significant portion of the fund that was allocated to businesses struggling during the pandemic" - Bristol Rovers (A)
