For those that don't use or want to use a food/garden waste bin ..... where do you put your food waste? We produce 2/3 of the small green bags a fortnight, only 2 of us (usually), and as kent says doesn't using the green bags prevent maggots? We do have garden waste throughout the summer and bins are positioned so they're not in the sun but never had anything other than the odd snail in our green bin. I see Hugh Furry-Whippingstall is having a go at the amount of 'excess' packaging used. Why pack something the size of lipstick in a box you could fit your couch in?

Currently on constant redial to a direct line at BT to my "dedicated case manager" who only starts work at 1:30pm but so far has been incapable of picking up her phone !!! EDIT: If she tries to ring me back after 6:30pm again I'll not be here ....I don't sit at my desk 24/7!!

Talk to most of ours but don't get involved in their lives such as parties / bbqs etc One side are elderly and call on me when they have a problem, like broken toilet seats, reminding which bin day it is (alzheimers is a terrible disease), bringing their bins back in and disconnecting their car battery as they've both now had their licences revoked.

They've already removed reference to the Bolton store off their website!

There's some great pubs in the Lakes but The Sun in Coniston in January with a roaring fire, pint and Lagavulin chaser is up there.

Bought this patch from one of the bootleg shops up Tib street in the mid 70s ...
