  3. so is ss osmunds and andews, and blackshaw in breightmet.
  4. Agreed, but, few years ago, my old fella was leaving a pub and came across two scrotes kicking an old man on the ground in the ginnel near the house and saw them rifle his pockets and take his wallet, he then knocked the sh?t out of them and took the wallet back and looked after the old man, unknown to him a resident who heard the commotion had phoned the police, up shot of the events was, old man still had his wallet and was too scared to say anything and probably couldn't identify the muggers, my dad was arrested, charged and found guilty of assault and GBH on the two scrotes, who also got compensation for their "distress" and injuries. view of the law changed that day,and my opinion on what to do in a similar situation. the old fella says he'd still do the same again but i'd think twice to be honest.
  5. tis the pictuesque hamlet of Breightmet, yes. dont know how they power them, anythings possible, maybe even off the rustic old water wheels that are dotted around the parish or the meter or lampost is a good shout too
  6. too early, theres some folk round here had them up for a week already now! way way too early.
  7. http://www.krysstal.com/scottish.html#league i should have just looked at this first!
  8. think Aberdeen won it in the early eighties, that may or may not be right or the last time but thats in my head anyway!
  9. two questions, who owns the scooter with the unfortunate reg plate of "man yoo"? and all your pics of scooter outings look like good craic, always ending up in some pub with you all looking "tired" after the drink, how do you get over the breathalyser problems when you go on these trips?
  10. could be worse, we could still have to wait 'til half 12 for 2 seconds on "granada soccer night" i suppose. they would show the oppositions goal and then finish the clip by saying "and bolton went on to score 3"
  11. plug a radio in up there, on a talking channel, doesnt need to be loud so you can hear it downstairs, just on at low volume, along with some of your old clothes to create a scent, this'll scare em off. then you'll need to find how they got there and block up the entrance. other than that garden centres have sonic repellants but the radio will do the same job.
  12. nice tribute post in your sad time. sincere condolences. R.I.P
  13. i'd take a couple of them.
  14. I'm no Rangers fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I think this initiative is to be commended. Fair play.
  15. utter c?nts, utter utter c?nts. all that c?nt in charge was intrested in was showing graphs to show the service had met its targets. like it said on that old holborn blog you posted, they would stop normal folk from adopting if they smoked in the house but let this filth bond with the baby. the 3 that did this, death is too good, even a slow one. they should be twatted to an inch of their lives every day for the rest of their lives.c?nts.
  16. http://www.dublinpubscene.com/entertainment/index.html plenty of good places to eat /drink, one tip though bring plenty of money, Ballsbridge is (or was) the yuppy type area of Dublin.
  17. easy mistake to make, ones a flea infested piss dribbling, disease spreading thing that hasn't breathed fresh air for a while, the others a dead rat.
  18. very good, spoiled only by the appearance of ferguson, but clever none the less.
  19. do you know what it stands for? or do you hate what you percieve it stands for? which i will accept is the more prevalant view, and understand and accept your view on it. however waving/displaying the flag no more makes one a IRA supporter than waving the union flag makes one a right wing thug/ racist as some have been accused of for doing so. the flag is used by certain groups to show their "allegencies", when in fact, these groups, are an enemy of the state the flag belongs to, and have been since the inception of that state, far before it was illegal in Britain, and it was these groups doing the collaboration, not Ireland as a state. many thousands of Irish men served and died in the crown forces during both wars, and this protest is as disrespectful to them as it is to anyone else, and its being organised by what seems to be what we know as "utter knobs". the basic gist of what i'm trying to say is just because someone is Irish and Catholic, doesnt make them a IRA supporting, spud munching ditch digging fenian filth. well, ok spud munching maybe i accept, but the rest , no.
  20. hear that quite often from lads from Burnley, Nelson,Colne them sort of places, and theres a butty van on grains rd in haslingden that has "bacon teacakes" advertised on his little stars. definitley not dreaming this up!
  21. take your word for it, never heared it there, but that may because i dont listen to them and was probably still in disgust and ignoring them because they call a barm a "teacake"
  22. one thing i notice about Leythers speak, is using the word "called" in place of "suppose to be", as in ,"he wer called be workin on sunday, but never showed" only ever heared that off Leigh people, nowhere else, even if they do speak with a "lanky twang"
  23. http://www.troubleatmill.btinternet.co.uk/speak.htm#phrase
  24. think the question she's asking;and its one i cant figure out either, is, why would a bloke who likes to sh?g blokes act like a woman in the hope of attracting a bloke who doesnt like women. and vice versa for the lezzers?
  25. his time has been and gone, those shouting for his return are making him out to be some sot of messiah figure, makes us look like newcastle. deluded
