  1. I just Googled Robert Boyle, Flame test and got this: http://www.vigyanprasar.gov.in/scientists/RBoyle.htm
  2. I missed the playoff final in Cardiff to bring my new born daughter home. Had to run outside to cheer as Mum and daughter were fast asleep throughout the game. Nearly ten years old now and she's never known Bolton out of the top flight. Long may that continue.
  3. 5% of the world's population using 25% of the world's oil production. The rig is American owned. The contractor is an american company. The day the americans stop drinking and bathing in f*cking oil is the day they can start complaining about how it's sourced. The C*nts.
  4. Javier Aguirre, has two reasons to celebrate this day. The news that his smaller son, I?aki has been fichado by the Bolton of England and by all means the day of the Father. " Vasco" it has three children, the major of them is lawyer, the other studies to be journalist and smallest, I?aki, is outstanding like soccer player in the infantile basic forces of the Athletic one of Madrid. Aguirre was the past selected to year like the best mediocampista of the Match the Infantile International of Soccer of Green Vila, Portugal, where the set of the school of the Athletic one was in fourth place. I?aki, will play with " The Trotters" , youthful equipment of the Bolton Wanderers. Hmmmmm.... Whose youthful equipment is he playing with?
  5. If they got 38 weeks holidays a year I'm sure they would too.
  6. You can write to the head and (if they agree) they will record an 'authorised absence' on your child's record. If you don't they will register an 'unauthorised absence' and, if this happens repeatedly you will be called for interview. As far as taking your child on holiday outside of school holidays why not look at it like this. Supposing Teachers wanted to take advantage of the cheaper flights/ holidays how would you feel if you took your kid to school only to be turned away as your kid's teacher was on holiday? As far as INSET days are concerned, who of us would go into work to attend training courses during our holidays?
  7. Did you get that from 'Practical Parenting'? Only I haven't had this month's copy delivered yet.
  8. One of the best Rock singers in my opinion, and a good bloke too! R.I.P. Ronnie.
  9. No experience of Sky, but happy with my Virgin bundle. 50meg broadband, phone and telly (with free ESPN).
  10. Over 600,000 Euros for maintenance fees? Are they trying to erase Greece's debt burden by stealth? The robbing bastards!
  11. I thought Robinson had a good game. I thought the MOTD highlights were their usual gash with no credit whatsoever for what I thought (as someone who attended the game)was agood attacking game.Robinson DID NOT foul him nor did he warrant the yellow card.
  12. I thought Knight had become really good mates with Mark Halsey during his rehabilitation from cancer? Doesn't sound too unhappy to me.
  13. The last two years the Gilpin Bell has had bouncers on stopping away fans. Last year I just covered the 'Away Supporter' section with my thumb and the thick c*nts let us in. I was even wearing my team shirt!
  14. Abso-fookin-lutely. I started running three years ago from scratch. This is the Pinnacle so far and as you say, the sights you see inspire, delight, and horrify in equal measure. One thing that DID piss me off though was the amount of runners talking on their mobiles whilst running! CAN'T IT WAIT?
  15. Floyd and the young Floyd-ette are attending. It's her first away game so I'm hoping for a great atmosphere. COYWM!!!!!!!!
  16. Well done. The crowds were amazing but it got squeezed at times which slowed the runners down a bit. The smells of the barbecues and food shops along Commercial Road nearly stopped me in my tracks too. Looking on the website I finished well into the top third of runners (you must have too)which makes me feel better. And yes, 24 hours on I am more convinced than ever I will go for it next year and smash that 4 hour marker.
  17. Cheers Moose. The beer went well. May just carry on!
  18. Sorry I missed this mate.Well, it's done. Time 4:01:48 (damn) Halfway was 1:47 but I developed a cramp at 19 miles I couldn't shake, so ran/ walked the remainder. Thanks for the donations guys, very much appreciated by Great Ormond Street and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Off out soon for beer. How about you?
  19. Naming names, kiddo. You may want to edit your post.
  20. You gutsy bastard. I've always wanted to, but never had the nerve. You must be feeling very free right now. Sun's shining, pub's open and your team will be playing top flight football for another year. Oh, AND the World Cup's coming up. However, I've never quit a job before having another lined up. In these times you may struggle to find something else, so college may not be a bad idea. There are also apprenticeships around which will put (some) money in your pocket and put you through college too. I don't know how old you are but you would obviously qualify as a mature student I'd stay away from the gambling though. When you're working the money you bet is disposable because you know your next pay date. If you lose now, it's gone for good and your ability to gamble more decreases. Hope you get sorted soon.
  21. Conversely, Some people in education think this industrial action, coming so close to the start of the SATs, is ridiculous and unfair on the children who have worked so hard in preparation for them. As such, they will be boycotting the boycott. I still think the c*nts get too many holidays, though.
  22. Oh yes. This all day.
  23. Just under a week to go now and I'm getting nervous. Imaginary pains in my legs and an almost psychotic reaction to anyone with a sniffle is turning me into a nervous wreck. Just a reminder for all those who want to donate, but haven't yet, the links are below. Would it help if I said the-wanderer website are outpacing you currently on donations by 4 to 1? http://www.justgiving.com/Martin-Cullen1 http://www.justgiving.com/Martin-Cullen I know it's easy to get compassion fatigue in this day and age, so I thank those who have contributed so far, and those who have just taken the time to read. Cheers
