Good short term fix, but doesn't reward loyalty. May backfire in the longterm in future ST sales! Could have offered a 25% discount to new half season ticket sign ups and used the other 25% to give back to existing ST holders who sign a friend up for the half season. This would mean that existing ST holders would have the opportunity to pay the same as the part time supporters for the last half of the season. Would also create an incentive for people to round up their mates and may increase the likelyhood of buying a full ST next year if they see the discounts shared with full ST holders

Basically we have 4 premiership quality players: jussi, cahill (when bothered), chungy and holden. You can't polish a turd! Hopefully there will be 3 worse teams than us at the end of the season.

Has this guy signed for anyone yet? I think he was on trial at spurs a while back. Saw him at Fenerbache a couple of seasons ago and he ran the midfield - could be a decent freebie if still available.

It's good to see us going after a young high profile player but do we need another defensive midfielder? IMO we desperately need creativity in midfield, pace going forward and a goalscorer. Would the 12m not be better spent elsewhere?
