  1. Just think, buying gold much earlier today would have already yielded a profit had it been sold later. Buy low and sell high. May go up further yet as the days go on, but interestingly it has fallen slightly on today's high. Another opportunity to buy low and wait until it goes higher.
  2. Gold has shot up. Understandably. Worth banging a bit into that, and capitalising?
  3. And to think, we gave Blackpool a point.
  4. Not half. League match at Tottenham next season?
  5. Unfortunately, one of my previous IFAs turned out to be a crook. Stole money off me, and his business partner. No doubt others too. He went to St James Place, and despite me finding out his "activities" still assumed and tried to take my business with him. Cunt.
  6. My first thoughts were friendly fire. I doubt Iran has such an anti aircraft set up capable of reaching so far. Especially now. As you say, reports suggest that it is. If those images of an American radar being destroyed are accurate, then that won't help matters.
  7. Yes, but they're a given... 😁
  8. Also need to remember that his wife gave birth only a few weeks ago. We've all been there, and he might be short of a bit of sleep, and distracted. Good luck to him.
  9. If Gale did pick up a knock after his goal, then this mon could well be starting next time.
  10. Dear me, this is a huge conflict. The damage Iran has achieved is minimal when looking the the number of missiles and drones they had. Trump warned they would suffer casualties, and so far they have been very small. It's been months, if not years in the planning, with remarkable levels of intelligence available. Obviously, there will always be some aspects that could have been done better, but war isn't a precise science, where numbers always add up. The continued sardonic comments are somewhat ignorant, and are without doubt largely based on the fact that Trump is the President. The bloke is a cunt, but it is vital to take personal views out of it when making assessments. So yes, it's actually going pretty well all things considered.
  11. No reason why independent financial advice should cost a lot of money. Mine never did- they just get a fee from providers for any products you take. They may say leave them alone too. I only shifted mine a good while back, into a SIP, as we were looking to invest it into some land etc to create a business. Never happened in the end, and I would have probably been better leaving them where they were. The rub I guess, but good advice will pay for itself.
  12. The weirdest approach that was. Iraq had m, and had used wmd against its own people. He slaughtered many of his own, and others elsewhere. That was justification enough. No need to make stuff up.
  13. Yes, I get that. But for me, the potential for rat shit shifts focus from the dog shit we've got now.
  14. We're (not) going in. Bases now to be used for attacking Iran. Soft arsed, mealy mouthed twat.
  15. Any spurs/arsenal fans get charged double.
  16. Huge ask, but wins at Bradford and Cardiff would be fantastic and we'd all be confident come the playoffs. As a previous post, Cardiff could be up by then, although unlikely, which could see them on the beach.
  17. Defender definitely had a little pull. Utd player maybe made a meal of it. Soft, yes, but still a foul for me. Started outside the box, and continued in. How that equates, in terms of pen or free kick, I don't know. Presumably, where it ends.
  18. Second fewest goals conceded.
  19. Many of whom you would imagine would be snapped up. If the takeover doesn't happen, they're fucked.
  20. Would Stevenage sell 2000? Dunno what their following is like.
  21. Is it really so odd? Look at the by-election result. Conservatives never do anything there, yet suddenly Reform gain a large number of votes. Where did they come from- not conservatives. They came largely from Labour voters. So many make it about left and right, when it is far more nuanced. Large numbers of traditional red wall people turning their backs on Labour, are doing so for a reason. That reason is largely immigration, and despite what many wish to portray, it isn't racist, nor far right to have such concerns. Had Labour understood, accepted and acted upon that, they would still have the red wall. They chose to pander to others, rather than their core vote, and have suffered accordingly.
  22. What is the alternative? Do nowt, allow them to continue, grow and export more and more terrorism. No one knows for sure what plans there are for what comes next. Allowing the people to make that decision, and provide assistance seems to be the best way forward. In the end though, we either deal with the situation there is now, or not. If the situation is viewed as so dangerous now, then it has to be dealt with, and what comes next has to take second place. Nothing was done about Russia annexing part of Ukraine in 2014, and that went very well. Seeing their people on the streets there, and elsewhere celebrating the removal of the top man is good enough for me.
  23. Unless Wednesday get a good takeover, fairly quickly, with decent money to spend, then their squad is going to be light on experience.
