  1. Could have done with him yesterday.
  2. Bang on. Changes things too late, almost panic stations. Like to see us dominate and go hard from the kick off. We seem to be a bit slow and allow teams a foothold.
  3. His hamstrings are fucked, by his own admission he doesn't stretch out as much as he could. He is working hard but within himself. Also has two concrete feet. If a partner isn't near enough to him it seems a bit of a waste to me. Against Gillingham we put in two great crosses and he scored a couple. A better supply and him attacking them might yield more goals. Not sure about losing when he doesn't play!
  4. After today does parky need to change a few players for this?
  5. True it seems. But we've not kept a clean sheet in the league for a while. Still believe opponents are working us out a bit- we need to be a bit more flexible in how we play. Occasionally try two up top together. Possibly try some genuine width. Try 3 in midfield and take some of cloughs defensive responsibilities away, derik behind the current two and allow them to press a little higher. That's the responsibility of the coaching staff; its gone a little stale and needs freshening up
  6. Can't see anyone in- someone needs to go first don't they?
  7. Not played particularly well for a bit. Need to review tactics.
  8. May well be right mate, but they've tried it once and failed. Like you I'm not that bothered if he remains leader, so long as those in power do a decent job in the next three years.
  9. If vela has been I'll,then hopefully well go at them hard get a good lead, then rest him and give Clayton another run.
  10. Same team according to iles.
  11. My concern is that by continuing to dismiss him is dangerous. If ukip get themselves sorted and stop infighting they could do well. If they don't there's a chance many traditional labour voters will return to type. The government has a lot on its plate, needs to get brexit underway asap so that any economic ripples are easing before next election. Ease healthcare situation and they'll be fine.
  12. Aye. A good IFA is invaluable.
  13. I wasn't there that night- was out with a lass. Barman told me we were one up. Deliberately didn't find out the final score, made sure I'd dropped her off early so as to watch the highlights not knowing the score. Was shitting it until second went in. Rioch (at that point) had never lost at anfield as a player or manager.
  14. Some part of the Chinese state is investigating their football system because of the stupid money they're spending. As for players, at what point is the money enough. I know the clubs pay the money, but if you're earning £200000+ per week, are you really that bothered about moving to the other side of the world for the extra. Playing in smog, internet limited, avian flu, and dodgy fuckers watching your every move in case you offend the state, and in a stadium that was possibly built at the expense of thousands of displaced nationals.
  15. Its amazing. An old boss told me how, in the seventies, during a period of massive inflation and wage rises, he managed to pay off his mortgage in just a few years.
  16. Hope not. But the Tory majority is low, ukip could do better than people think, which perversely might help labour. You're probably right, just a lot going wrong at moment; NHS, immigration levels and strikes everywhere. And transport is fucked. And military levels are low. A lot to do before next election.
  17. Wife's aunt lives in a huge gaff in horley. She lived there with her dad (wife's grandad) and when he passed away he put the inheritance for his three children into a trust, with her aunt allowed to live there. If she sells up and moves then the money is split three ways. A good few years ago he was offered half a million an acre; he had ten acres. Turned it down as he loved the place!. Its perhaps not worth as much now, but if it was sold then her mum, aunt and uncle could all be millionaires overnight!
  18. Double incentive then. Extra cash from TV. Ka will be a happy man.
  19. There's a home match on saturday- don't panic.
  20. Do we need to beat palace for the city game to be televised? They were on last time in London so perhaps they want a David and Goliath game, if not us then Wigan.
