  1. Scared of the dark! More likely to bump into doggers or kids taking class 'A's Anyway- hospital may be no more, but there's a prison on the other side across the river,so you can't escape
  2. Wouldn't argue with much of that Kent; went wrong for me once it became more than trading agreement.
  3. Sweep the pavement in front of their house.... Into the road. BD - sounds like a modern version of Logan's run.
  4. Gonzo- you asked a pertinent question earlier- basically if we had or been able to control immigration would we have left (apologies for paraphrasing)- for me I doubt we would and indeed doubt that a referendum would have arisen. Obviously many and varied reasons for leaving, but I genuinely believe that for many it was the only chance folk have had to say their piece, as no party (mainstream not extreme) would address the issue. Hence ukip's rise and fall. Cameron failed massively to get any sort of concessions but at least had the fall back of the referendum. He didn't have the balls to take on the new mandate, and ultimately we are where we are. There's an opportunity now to not just reform our "laws" etc, but also to lay down foundations to improve society. Fuck only knows how it will pan out, but we've got to run with it now. Bit like sticking with parky, not sure at all, but he's here and we've got to get on with it.
  5. It might, should the government the system less appealing to illegal immigrants- there must be a reason why so many choose to try to come here, despite travelling through other places. But that's the point, having got the green light, its now a little bit more acceptable to talk abut these issues without being labelled racist. Which is essential to stopping an increasing undercurrent of disdain from becoming more sinister. As was talked about in the initial thread, for many brexit was a protest vote, and finally politicians will have to act. How much could have been done whilst in the EU I don't know, but we won't necessarily have the confines of human rights and ecj rulings.
  6. Walk behind your car when you're reversing. Nearly wiped one out earlier.
  7. We offered a deal to let anyone here stay didn't we. Just stopped short of offering citizenship or something similar iirc? It was rejected and haven't heard much since.
  8. Don't forget, with the EU and its open door policy there'll soon be another 10 million or so to eat that shit.
  9. Get to lead the labour party.
  10. But without Britain's net contribution to the EU, they will have to eat proportionally more shit; where's we can eat a bit less.
  11. Bloody hell. Farmers been up and down for years too. Only be the volunteer left.
  12. 7 inches of rain in lake district over night and still raining. Rough.
  13. Nick kyrgios at it again. Why the hell don't they just ban him; or at least don't invite him to participate.
  14. The joys of the number two eh!
  15. Thought about posting that, but didn't feel right- tempting fate perhaps.
  16. Haha. Is the duke William shut or open at the moment? Has its fair share of closures.
  17. Aye. Its worse when you've been and witnessed it first hand. At least I don't have to be miserable on a damp, leg room free bus with the non-stop statto now. Finally got license reinstated (post seizure) after a month short of three years without. Small pleasures....
  18. Must admit, last Saturday with no footy was a huge relief. Not sure about a point though, really need to start winning.
  19. In fairness I would imagine much is known of north Korean capabilities. Apparently some months ago, when nk tested a missile and it went wrong, there were suggestions cyber warfare had been employed to cock it up.
  20. Kinell, didn't know. Loved calling in there on the way back from burnden, real fire on and a decent pint. Warmed the cockles. Hope someone takes it on again.
  21. This. Club paid for travel iirc. Good turnout bit shit result. Remember having a walk near some part of the wall. Vaguely.
  22. Buy stuff then decide they don't like/want it and try to foist it on you.
