  1. They might not be impressed if you do.
  2. None of em playing any more iirc.
  3. no- that's why I said competitions. All right qualifying but it feels an even bigger let down when the summer is adversely affected by dismal showings. Then odd years with no comps. are better- can relax enjoy the cricket and the weather.
  4. one way of paying your mortgage off.
  5. Just what you don't need ATM.
  6. And its the brexit thing again. As unthinkable as it is, if everyone starts saying it won't happen, he's shit etc but the current government don't get their act together then another protest vote might be on the cards. Be interesting to see what happens now this labour mp has resigned.
  7. Can see where he's coming from, though depends if rates increase dramatically then it could bite you. Does your missus work out of interest?
  8. Trouble is non since have done much in terms of competitions. Really seems to be a poisoned chalice.
  9. Do you see rate rises in this time frame? Im talking from my own experience but would consider a fixed one if I felt rates were going to go up a fair bit. I've looked occasionally, but on balance sticking with my base rate + two percent, and freedom to overpay what I want has been good. Particularly with being self employed, monthly take obviously varies so the ability to adjust has been great.
  10. The other thing- dunno how old your kids are but they get mor expensive as they get older. Overpaying as much as you can early doors can help.
  11. We've always overpaid as much as possible; its done by standing order so can alter it easily on the internet if you're having a tight month. By paying as much as I can, you know what's left and live within it. Had to make sacrifices but now paid over 40,000 of it by overpaying. Long term this will massively reduce overall amount paid back. Will reap the benefits in around five years when its all gone. If interest rates are higher then, then saving a little will be better.
  12. Never fully trust cats. They own you and can be friendly and cuntish pretty much at the same time. A neighbour has loads and the always scrapping and screaming; usually at night when trying to get to sleep. Either that or shitting on my soil- really annoying when trying to harvest a bit of veg.
  13. Can you make overpayments without penalties? If so, the shorter one would allow bigger overpayments which would reduce your debt and also repayments. You can continually review your options, but can't see interest rates going up massively anyhow. Brexit round the corner- are they going to rock the boat just yet?
  14. If he wants to leave then fair enough, surely training and playing well would his cause? Plus it would illustrate his professionalism. He can submit a transfer request but still work hard. If there's been a falling out then the pfa can help resolve issues. Not sure if this happens that often as it could seriously damage a career.
  15. I'll have to wait until I get my driving licence back; hopefully by the time it does it will be a bit warmer....
  16. Whatever happens the issues with Russia need sorting. 3000 us troopers and heavy armour deployed to eastern Poland and a deployment of British troops to Latvia and Poland doesn't suggest all is well.
  17. Henry is a doubt with a thigh strain. Vela a doubt with a virus. Supposedly. Or is it the January cynic in me?
  18. A tactical masterstroke of a substitution by the gaffer caused that. Nailed on fuck up.
  19. I'd assumed it wasn't legal- not so!
  20. Yeah- should lions surely. Tigers are in Asia and folk there are a bit lighter in colour.
  21. Did the same once at Chelsea some time before- early eighties maybe?
  22. Kinell- hundreds being told to evacuate in Lincolnshire, and soldiers deployed. Potential storm surge tomorrow.
  23. Real ale definitely better; but so much depends upon the quality of storage and cellarmanship. A good cellar keeping the beer at a steady cool temperature makes a big difference.
  24. An increase in national insurance may be needed, so long as this goes to the healthcare system.
