  1. Played regularly on them when at primary school, doesn't seem the same now.
  2. The outsold trail from Radcliffe asda to Phillips park is quite good too. Also the totty lines to green mount is a rewarding steady climb, then an effortless cruise back down. When this last stretch as mentioned above is done, you'll be able to go from Bolton centre via Elton reservoir to Burrs etc with barely a road to cross.
  3. Bollards and indeed unnecessary- some of the local ferrals are in the process of torching them. There is now a sign explaining the sudden stop- Belway homes are currently building houses on part of the old track, as part of this the cycle way is to continue to Ainsworth road.
  4. Agree about Preston but what's wrong with the Bury one? Could do with clearing the detritus occasionally but its provided and a great access facility for cyclists and walkers alike. Leverhulme, Raikes Clough, the old canal and gravel pits through to moses gate have many off road routes although I accept that for much of the year they are only usable by fairly able riders as they are so muddy.
  5. Must admit that does my head in. Did quite a bit of cycling when younger, and always went single file when on normal roads. Only occasionally two abreast when on wide roads and back to one when cars came up. Also a bit strange given that the new cycle way goes through leverhulme and will soon go much of the way to Bury.
  6. Be reet. Not going down, though a disappointing second half of season
  7. Staff at the current centre next to the running track are calling the police several times a day because of anti social behaviour, this isn't likely to help. Shame because there could be great facilities but just too many ferral not rights fuckin everything up.
  8. I sometimes refer to my lad as acting like a "spaz" when he does something totally nobish. Like Barry says wouldn't say it in inappropriate company. Not sure it will go down too well though if he repeats it to his mates.
  9. Really! Fuckin madness.
  10. Not sure the problems are purely as a result of party tendencies. Political correctness that Bolty refers to seems to have crept in and has grown ridiculously as politicians of all persuasions have been reluctant to call a spade a spade (now see I was reluctant to write that even though its a long standing saying which sort of sums it up).
  11. Whatever film it was, it was dead boring.
  12. If anyone is going and passing the Breightmet area I'd be grateful of a lift in. Thanks.
  13. My lad got pulled last week on his way into school for having "trainers". Despite them being fucking black leather Clark's shoes. Lost half a period waiting for the head master who then fucked over the teacher for pulling a kid for waring proper school uniform! Agree about a proper uniform policy but it might help if they all song from the same sheet.
  14. In time for his court appearance.
  15. Two women fell over each other in th'olympics then helped each other finish the race as they were both injured. No disqualifications.
  16. You're right. Wife was telling us only yesterday of her experience with her re teacher in secondary school. She wasn't christened and when the teacher found out she went apeshit and basically called her a lesser human being because she'd not had water dribbled on her head as a baby. The Witch.
  17. That's why we have football. The last sanctuary for the married man.
  18. Which one did you run in Malc?
  19. I wouldn't have put you down as one of the shy smelly kids who conveniently managed to avoid a shower after P.E.
  20. Excellent news. Recently had a trip into Bolton's new MRI scanner and wouldn't like to think of others potentially missing out.
  21. Can't recall anyone being obviously well endowed. That being said it wasn't until Mrs Hatton and Woan appeared that any notable wanking tackle was available
  22. Yep. Shame the greasy Spaniards didn't see it that way. Surprised their mon didn't through himself to the floor and shout 'foul'.
  23. Sound a bit envious there Bolty!
  24. Absolutely gutted- proper sounding bloke. A while ago he posted a comment about a load of not rights singing Celtic songs on the bus going home. I'd obviously been on the bus with him wanted to meet him, indeed I may have done unknowingly. We knew he was ill but the black humour that Cassie shared with him was undoubtedly a reflection of his character. Like mounts said, if possible I'd like to pay my respects at his funeral. Go and have a pint with Nat- god bless.
  25. Is that genuine or next to the dragon glass mine?
