A news item on yesterday about a woman who was fleeced for £100k+ under the guise of cryptocurrency. Apparently she ‘invested’ a couple of hundred pounds which, within a couple of weeks became a couple of thousand pounds. The problem was, it was all a confidence trick where the tricksters were willing to gamble a few thousand pounds that they’d come back in for greater reward. The woman who just got 10x her original outlay came back with £100k. Strangely it was just before a downturn in Crypto’s value.

The last few times we’ve been to Wigan the police numbers have been boosted by police from around the quieter (in footballing terms) areas. A high number of North Wales Constabulary, for instance but also Cumbria and Cheshire. These outside police teams will have very little experience of policing large football games. Are GMP puffing out their chests and telling their inexperienced colleagues “This is how we deal with idiots!”

Indeed. There are ways to avoid the police corralling fans who get off a public train ballooning. Avoiding them when you just got off a football special is a bit more difficult.

Just for clarity, is an incorrect spelling mistake actually a word spelled correctly?
