    John Atyeo.
  2. But it's not the English Army, it is the British Army.
  3. David Weir, who coaches at Brighton!
  4. Plenty pensioners are eligible for Pension Credits but fail to claim them for whatever reason. If they have to claim them in order to get a free TV licence maybe they will?
  5. Wasn't the problem that Taiwan gave WHO lots of good information on the pandemic, which WHO ignored as Taiwan is a country which is not a member as China would not agree to their membership (Taiwan being the place where the pre-Communist rulers retreated to back in the day)? A reasonable view would have been to accept the data without confirming the source. By ignoring it, valuable time was lost worldwide.
  6. Administrators saying new investment is needed to complete the season.
  7. In the first set he is talking about the 2000 election, which had the hanging chads nonsense and where Bush only won because his brother, as Governor of Florida, made somewhat dubious selections. He was an onlooker sympathising with the Democrats. In 2016 he was a player, and he realised the advantages of targeting states, while his opponent basked in the glory of the feminine voters' adulation. She lost.
  8. PH - masters degree plus 6 years management experience....
  9. Surely we can gloss over that?
  10. If he is so clued up he should have suggested that the play-offs be abandoned, only automatic places promoted, with one less team relegated.

Macc failed to get into the league the first time they won the Conference because the ground was not then up to the required standard.
  12. Played one game on left wing during the war.
  13. The League One clubs allegedly voted 18-3 to curtail the season.

He is just trying to Labour the point.

Much of the compensation paid to slave owners was invested in that new-fangled technology called railways. Rip it all up? Maybe not. And Leverville in the Belgian Congo (as was) came from Lever(Hulme)'s investment. As did Leverburgh in the Western Isles of Scotland. Major beneficiaries can be found in the Tranmere region in Port Sunlight.
  16. I think that will be the EFL's proposal to be voted on tomorrow. If any club has filed an alternative which gains enough support (unlikely) then the limited testing will need to be revised.
  17. 95 days for me, with booked appointments falling by the wayside every 28 days.
  18. He will not concede defeat at any point.
  19. ".... for the remainder of the 2019-20 season and the first six months of 2020-21. …."
  20. Southend fined for late payment to players twice this season and given a 3 point deduction, suspended to middle of next season for fielding an ineligible player!
  21. Only if 24 clubs begin the season in a division.
  22. The EFL Board have put their proposal to the clubs, who each now have the right to table alternatives (by 2/6, I think). I believe the EFL will be asking for PPG with play-off semis on 18/19 and 22/23 June with the final on 28 or 29 June (alongside the League 2 final). Any proposal to play on with the full fixtures is unlikely, as is any proposal to expand play-offs to more clubs. It is easy to portray the delay as indecision but it is following due process and maximising the chance of the league getting agreement to its own proposals.
  23. Relegation is not confirmed until the play-offs are concluded.

Boris has always been a blusterer - see his Mayor's Question Time performances. He has been dangerously ill and came back to the hotseat without adequate recuperation. His performance now is below par, even for him. Whereas he could walk an election in December that will not be the case anytime soon. Starmer (QC) is a smart cookie and can skewer Johnson at PMQs time after time. He knows that being generally supportive to the government but criticising their serious errors is a good long-term strategy. And that now is a good time not to be running the country. Cummings did not break any rules by travelling north to a cottage on his father's farm, which actually has a different postcode to the farmhouse. But his trip out to BC was a different matter and his description about finding the lay-by near the Tees is less than accurate. If a storm doesn't blow over within a week it will not go away. See Alistair Campbell for details.
  25. PPG by 13 votes to 10 (or 12-11).
