Traffic seems to have been slightly better this week actually. By slightly I mean 1hr 10 mins Bromley cross - Warrington rather than 1 hr 20 mins+ in a morning. Tonight was a breeze coming home at 4.30, about 50 mins.

Chetham is the Brewhouse now owned by Dunscar Bridge. Nice enough, decent beer, overpriced pub grub. Nice place to start out. Seems to do a decent trade after work, early evenings.

The Dunscar Bridge brewery tour at the Bleachworks is worth a trip. A few hours free drinking thrown in. As for the Railway - it's a shame. I know plenty who go in if there's something on they fancy. Its always felt like it was doing well when I went in to see a band. They've also done a fair few charity events etc. It's a long while since it's been a regular BX drinking haunt though. The Flag and Sportsman are still going pretty strong. The Volunteer is now a Sainsbury's!

Bleachworks closed a couple of years ago. Just for functions and special events now.

I change every 2 or 3 years, buy something 12- 18 months old. Use a bit of cash, trade in of the old motor and put the rest on a 0% credit card for 3 years. Don't use loans, look for the good deals on credit cards.

I use the meet and greet - £60 usually for 2 weeks. Park up close to the terminal, leave your keys and they park it up off site. There waiting for you when you get back.

We did Majorca as well when ours were little. I'd recommend Puerto Pollensa or Cala D'or.

Getting to trafford centre is a nightmare at the best of times, more so with the roadworks at the moment. Agree about the train. As an aside members of the wife's family come from near Lancaster to shop in Bolton from time to time.They say it's better than Preston or Lancaster? They are pushing 70 though and were appalled at what happened to the market hall.
