Depends what you want it for. If you want to download a few apps, browse the internet and play a bit of music then Ipad is the winner. The OS is simpler and easier to use. If you want it to play anything you throw at it, download torrents etc then you are probably better off with Android.

Handbrake is what you need. It is a piece of piss. Convert your movies/tv to mp4 and then put them in iTunes. Then you can stream or download them to your ipad or straight to the tele with an apple TV box.

Indeed I did and fine job he did too. However, I went back 6 months later after the wife backed into a bollard and it was boarded up and a burnt out car outside!
  5. Quicker to get home too. ;-)The problem here is the 'family discount' pricing in the North Upper. Not substantially cheaper to make families shift from the West Lower.
  6. Problem here is they aren't providing any incentive to move to the North Upper. Families in West Lower will stay where they are or save money by trying to get in North Lower. Badly thought out.
  7. Same thing happened to my Nanna - went on a break to Blackpool on a coach with church. It pissed it down all the time so they organised a few days out. First one to Oswaldtwistle Mills, second one - Last Drop (she lives 10 mins walk away).

24th Feb Season 7 on FX. You might just be able to catch up.

Season 7 starts on FX in a couple of weeks.S2 is my favourite I think. Doakes, Lundy, Mad Lyla - cracking stuff!
  10. Agreed - you go back to Reservoir Dogs and its lean as fuck. 99 minutes and not one of them wasted. Every film since has been self-indulgent to a certain extent. I'm a fan, but it annoys me what some of his films could have been.

But each 'half' is eight episodes so there is plenty to get stuck into before S5 Part Deux.
  12. TV matches already arranged.
  13. Got to work at in Warrington at 11. Set off at half eight. Utter carnage in Bromley Cross on the school run.

Keep watching, average Dexter (seasons 3, 5 & 6 for me) is still better than 95% of the stuff out there.
  15. Not 'three' bad.
  16. There is a way with the Nexus providing you have the right kit.If you have an apple TV (wanker) gizmo like what I do , download Airsync http://doubletwist.com/airsync/ for your Nexus and then apple TV will stream whatever is on your Nexus.I believe it also works with PS3 and Xbox if you have one of those connected to your tele.

I tried to watch it once, but only got as far as middle of episode 2. It is truly grim viewing. Lots of actors from The Wire. I will try it again sometime. I would recommend the book Homicide - A Year On The Killing Streets by David Simon. You'll recognise a lot of names and situations from The Wire. It's a great read. Harrowing, but also lots of the Bunk, Mcnulty style humour from The Wire.

    July I believe.
  19. Thanks for the message C. I'll see you when you collect.
  20. Cue the abuse ;-) Hi folks, I got tickets for my wife to see Gary Barlow tonight in Blackpool for Xmas, but our son is too poorly for us to go. Face value of each is £55. Collect from Bromley Cross. Start time on tickets is 7.30pm. £50 for the pair, collect from Bromley Cross. Message me if interested.
  21. The express is obsessed with the weather - always a snow/rain/wind story on't front page. And it's usually complete bollocks.
  22. Yeah that's the one.
  23. I would oblige, but I'm at work. Google 'Katrine Borgen' or something along those lines.
  24. Fair enough, it doesn't sound that exciting, but it is really good. Also some Danish sort gets her kit off most weeks.
