  1. My mate sent me a screen shot of that earlier (I don't do twitter). I was already so pleased for the lad, as we all obviously are, but that had me bursting with pride. Love it! Let's hope he takes the time to say it shortly after winning the world cup in 2026 😁
  2. The new one is just for showing one of them YouTube vids of a crackling fire on a loop, make you feel warmer. Constantly caring is Neil.

It's funny what different stories you here....... I've honestly heard there was a girl fingering herself silly for all to see. @gonzo can you confirm??
  5. Never understood why people think it's a bad thing this. It happens in all types of work. First thing I did when setting up a few years ago was take a couple of lads from where I worked previously. Know them, trust them and know what to expect. No different in football, surely.
  6. Almost got me that one, quite beautifulin its own way. Mine is 10 now and starting to show her age. Struggles with proper long walks and running round like a nutter these days. Hopefully years off yet, but started to contemplate the inevitable the other day. Dreading it.
  7. Jesus christ, you must be in a bad place to be siding with the scousers, given your obvious affiliations πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚
  8. Its a funny one all this for me. Does that team and pep deserve that? fucking right they do. They've steamed over everyone this season, regardless of whether you think their means are questionable. As for the fans, I have the same feeling about them as the DMB's if I'm honest. The genuine fans that turn out week in week out, well fair play, enjoy your victory. What really gets me is the growing number of Bolton born blues that never ever turn out, they annoy me just as much as the Bolton born rags that don't either. We've got our own proud founder member club that you bastards should be supporting. They're actually the reason I've just left the pub to come home, can't be arsed seeing them prance around acting like the most die hard followers of a cause they don't even contribute to in any way. As an aside, @MancWanderer, your nephew is in his element at the moment. Doubt he'll remember much of it by the morning πŸ˜‚
  9. You don't have to go into the hell hole that is the Trafford Centre if that's all your getting when passing. There is one now on that retail park on the other side of the 60. I only know as I was driving back from my mates with a hefty hangover the other Sunday and noticed it. πŸ‘ Another top tip, don't order from 5 guys with hangover hunger. A fookin fortune I spent.

I think it may have been the lad I've seen with you on the bus a couple of times. Sorry to hear this mate. Must have been a bloody tough gig for you having to put his door through as well, hope your alright πŸ‘ RIP fellow wanderer
  11. Went for a meeting last week with a prospective new customer in Blackburn, just round the corner from Ewood actually. Told myself all the way there "don't bring up football, don't bring up football". Anyway, towards the end of the meeting one of them asked me if I was a Bolton fan. Proudly told him I'm a season ticket holder for 20 years, what followed was good natured banter I suppose but him basically taking the piss of our play off loss and how he'd love to play us again but he can't see it for a while. Told him we will be hammering them in 24/25, but by the christ it's fucking horrible having to bite your tongue when you want to get a shit load of work that he can throw your way. Horrible position to be in it was πŸ˜‚

A personal favourite when I looked on that link yesterday was "if he was anymore plastic he'd become an environmental concern" 😁
  13. Fair play to you and your boys mate! Great support ❀️ I'll crack open one more consolation beer before bed and think of you up a ladder whilst rough as fuck in the morning. Go well my fellow wanderer πŸ‘
  14. Not read any of the thread yet, just got in from the pub, so apologies if I'm repeating something that anyone who was there has said........ My mate who was there has just sent me a picture from after full time. With them lot on the pitch, our lads n lasses are arms outstretched, all still in attendance and showing as much support to our boys, stood in front of them, as they would if we'd just won. It honestly filled me with pride when I saw that picture. I fuckin love our club. If you'd have told me at the start of the season we'd be in the playoffs having battered top of the league at Wembley to win a cup, I reckon I'd have ripped your hand off. WHITE ARMY!!!
  15. Couldn't be any quieter even if we tried. Was genuinely surprised at their lack of support/noise today given the gravitas of the game.
  16. Usually ends up with some other poor fucker on a stretcher though. 😁
  17. Id agree normally, but it wouldnt be the first time for him this season. Not saying he physically had it. But he knew he was sorted.
  18. Correct. I know of one lad that was saying he was sorted yesterday. Knows someone on the inside πŸ™„ Oh, and he ain't even a ST holder
  19. Yeah, she does a couple, bring it back and time is now, but puts a typically strung out dancy beat to them. Get onto her solo albums mate, she's ace and got better and better over the years.
  20. Roisin Murphy at Albert Hall tonight. Currently in taxi as she stayed on a little late so missed last tram/train. Worth the hassle, no doubt. Seen her at a couple festivals over the years and always good value but that was hands down the best gig I've been to in years. Thought I loved her before but have just told the Mrs I'm head over heels now. She was with me and has sanctioned the move, knowing full well she's safe with this middle aged munter 😁
  21. Is that the fella that looks late 30's/early 40's ish, with tattoos down his arms?? I commented at the bar on one of my early visits that I had already decided I liked the place but even more so when I had just noticed the framed Wanderers shirt on the wall in the pool table room, it seemed to raise a smile from him.
  22. Off topic I know but, started working in Atherton a couple of years ago, previously only having driven through knowing nowt round there really. Call in R&A for a post work pint or two sometimes now. Really like it, feels a proper boozer with good welcoming folk. πŸ‘
  23. One step closer. That looked nervy as fuck from both of them though.
  24. Unreal that. And shows how costly that green was for Si last night. Fair play to Brecel, but feel a bit gutted for Si, would have been a landmark occasion for him and snooker if he went all the way.
  25. I have a memory of sitting in Manny Road stand with my old man v Chelsea once and the Bolton crowd giving Ruud Gullit very respectful applause (nearly said standing ovation, but that might be exaggerating) after he ran us ragged. My dad didn't really go to loads of games so probably why it's stuck in my head. Can't have made that up can I?
