  1. Even if/when somebody does buy FV out, I'd not be massively surprised if she was kept on as the "face of the club" as she seems to do that public facing role very well
  2. @L/H White will have you if we don't reach the semi like we did last time.....😀
  3. Sweep replied to L/H White's topic in World Cup 26
yep, easily up there with the likes of Maradona, Messi and Ronaldo Whilst he's clearly on the decline, and possibly shouldn't be getting a start for Portugal, at 41, at a major tournament, for one of the better teams, to still be playing is incredible

to be honest, I don't blame him, he's already done everything he needed to do at club level. Why not go and live like a king for a few years, and get all the money in the world.........and also, score 1000 competitive career goals, which is what he ultimately wants to do, and the Saudi move has ensured that'll happen, no chance he does it by staying in a major European league You wait and see the state of the ensuing wankfest, once he achieves that milestone
  5. He did alright at Barcelona didn't he?
  6. which is pretty poor, but, I'm not sure they put that much effort into it (unlike Reform) - it's a seat that Conservatives know they will never win, so they don't even try to
  7. They are reliant on him, and I still can't feel that he's any intention of sticking around for a GE. I also agree that Reform probably have peaked, that's not to say they won't have a massive say in the next GE, whenever that is. I'm sure over the coming weeks, if/when Burnham is put in place, both Reform and the Tories will say that he has no mandate and then start demanding a GE is called......the truth is though, both of those parties (especially Reform) would absolutely shit their pants if one was called now, Reform mainly because they just wouldn't have the ability to vet and secure enough candidates to stand in every seat (as things stand today) also I'm not sure Farage would really want to entertain having to do some actual work
  8. They had the chance to sign Rashford for peanuts, but signed Gordon instead......it may work out for the best, but at present, Rashford is a far superior player
  9. Absolutely nothing surer
  10. They must be allowed to defend themselves
  11. Aye, but the one thing most folk don't have is time...... The superchargers are amazing (both here and there) no fucker wants to plug into an 11KWh system when they're out and about, we need 400KWh+ - although, as you point out, our infrastructure isn't up to it
  12. apathy, I'd have thought, and the realisation that no matter who they vote in, it'll make little or no difference, as they're all a bunch of nobbers 😉
  13. The sky didn't fall in as some suggested it would....but neither are we as a nation "better off" - it can be proven we're worse off, although I:m not sure that Joe Public really notices one way or the other. Ultimately, it's just been a massive waste of time Folk can bleat on about how Labour have ensured that "wealth creators" are leaving the country because of their economic policy.....but that's fuck all compared to the wealth that left because of Nigel Farage and his ridiculous vanity project (that even he didn't really want to succeed) On the plus side, I'm now much better off, probably because of Brexit, so mustn't grumble too much 😁
  14. As you're both, I suppose you have no issues getting in 😀
  15. Simon Charlton........the mole!
  16. Talking of EVs, I'm in China at the minute, and we stopped off at a roadside charger....they're all Government subsidised here (so I'm informed) it costs next to fuck all to use them. Fast charging up to 500km in about 15 minutes, for well under $2, No wonder about 50% of the cars here are EV - our "public" chargers are a fucking rip off, some up at well over 60p/KWh, which might well put people off if they can't charge at home
  17. He's a very, very odd individual. And to make matters worse, I think he's a Welshist
  18. John Flanagan? He was absolute dogshit, I think he even managed to get an England cap somehow
  19. There's at least one on here who will............until the bitter end he's going to stick by him. Remember, he's what the world needed. The Great Disruptor.
  20. we now have our freedom, sovereignty and complete control of our borders , what more do you want? We've also got rid of all those pesky rules that were being imposed on us, that were holding us back, you negative nelly
  21. Didn't Sam Allardyce get done for nicking a hosepipe from B&Q or something?
  22. I think we all agree with that, but didn't Trump tell us he'd already done that once only a year ago?
  23. I think the pressure for a GE will be almost immediate, as soon as he's crowned, it'll be interesting to see how he copes/responds to that pressure
  24. To be fair, they're not all "owd" there are some younger ones as well
  25. Yes
