absolutely this - it won't in fact reduce times, given the fact that it now doesn't (or won't) immediately terminate at Euston, instead it will stop at Old Oak Common, so I think when you arrive, you'll have to get on the Northern Line to take you to Euston (which will take about 30 minutes) HS2 is just the most ridiculous project I think the UK has undertaken in recent history

I never said it was right, but let's be honest, if most people could get away with paying less tax, then they would........ It's not great for the country, but plenty of folk are now finding loopholes. I know people who pay less than £5K per year in tax, and bring in well over 20 times that in wages/salary

I'd he very surprised if he's paying 40%, then again a huge chunk of high earners have various methods of avoiding/reducing the tax they pay. I guess it's one of the benefits of earning a load of money, you can employ decent accountants who can help you in such matters.
