Accrington Stanley (H)

The crucial game in hand.

Win on Saturday then this is an opportunity we need to not let slip.

3-1, Dion to finally get a couple against his old club & hammer a huge nail in the coffin and help shift Accy back into League 2. Andy Holt will be livid.

  • We are coming to the end of a long hard season with a paper thin sqaud.  Two main centre backs out injured and we just look knackered across the park.  The daft thing is, like BC says above

If we win which virtually condemns them, aligned to the fact we came from 2 down to beat them earlier in the season and again to get to Wembley, I'll consider them trampled on our way back. Still

Win Satuday, and then this and we should be all but there.

Peterborough playing Ipswich Saturday, and the tractor boys must win to keep automatic hopes going.

Peterborough play Barnsley away last game of the season as well

still feel we might need two wins and a draw from last 4

We'll improve our GD in this - a 3-0 win

This match is on the same night as play off hopefuls Blackburn host Champions ( well almost) Burnley

Rovers only given Burnley 2000 tickets , and are struggling to sell tickets themselves at £35 each (they have 9k season ticket holders )

So there is a distinct possibility we will have the bigger crowd on the night

Oh - and some of their fans are up in arms at the prospect of their players having to potentially form a " guard of honour " as Burnley take to the pitch

We will definitely have a larger crowd

Blackburn's crows are shockingly low, don't think they've had a bigger crowd than us all season

I seen that their social media team raved about them having 18,000 the other week due to cheap ticket day.

That's nearly 1,000 lower than our average gate this season 😂

Blackburn are shocking. Only Accrington, Rochdaie and Wigan have smaller crowds. Even North End's crowds are on the up.

Not to stick up for them, but if their tickets are £35 is that not a mitigating factor?  That's what a good proportion of our season tickets cost.

Bit gay this thread.

Back to the game.

They will turn up to kick us off the pitch.

Cotterill's a cunt.

Give them plenty back and win.

I bet Barnsley will rest players as they will have missed out on automatic and safe in the play offs.

Those last day fixtures can be a lottery, the "tough" fixtures like Derby, Wycombe and Posh going to Sheff Wed, Wycombe and Barnsley, have a very different look if one team no longer needs the points.

Posh won't get more than 4 points from their remaining games. 2 wins, we're in the play offs

At half time Tuesday we were 4points above Derby with a game in hand - anything can happen but I do agree that it’s unlikely that Posh get anything against Ipswich and only a draw at best from Barnsley- hope so because I think we can do it this season if we play like Tuesday for the remaining 7 games

I guess another good thing at the minute is we have become difficult to beat again too. Could be just as important over the next 4 games and especially if we do secure that playoff spot.

Ipswich drew their last away game at Cheltenham and needed a late penalty to beat Port Vale so no surprises if they fail to beat Posh.

Last game at Barnsley reserves will be very winnable especially with their away form.
