Accrington Stanley (H)

The crucial game in hand.

Win on Saturday then this is an opportunity we need to not let slip.

3-1, Dion to finally get a couple against his old club & hammer a huge nail in the coffin and help shift Accy back into League 2. Andy Holt will be livid.

  • We are coming to the end of a long hard season with a paper thin sqaud.  Two main centre backs out injured and we just look knackered across the park.  The daft thing is, like BC says above

If we win which virtually condemns them, aligned to the fact we came from 2 down to beat them earlier in the season and again to get to Wembley, I'll consider them trampled on our way back. Still

Aren't they just saying "definitely" due to nervousness?

The interviews aren't really interviews anyway, and has been pointed out, aren't designed to be

It's just so the club has some content to upload to their social media channels

Really looking forward to tonight. Big, big game.

Early goal essential tonight, or it could be a long old slog, even though a draw ain't good enough for them, they'll spoil for spoiling's sake, if they can't stay up, try stop us going up.

I’m after an adults ESL ticket for tonight if anyone has one going spare?
My Mrs fancies joining me & my daughter tonight, but the club won’t sell tickets for the ESL

I know no games easy but we really should be winning this comfortably. I accept they’ll come to play rather than parking the bus which is exactly why I believe we’ll fix our recent scoring drought and pop in at least 3 tonight. Win this and whilst not mathematically certain I can’t see any way we won’t be in 5th spot and playing Barnsley in the semis.

I tend not to watch player/manager interviews pre or post match tbh, as I'm not really that interested. Its not going to affect whether I go or not or have any bearing over my support.

But, contact the media team and ask why the line of questions and answers is the way it is, they're pretty open about stuff these days so might actually respond.

I'm the same, I can feel their unease and I prefer not to watch, but I see occasional interviews on TV with Prem players etc, and it stands out when someone is just talking relatively naturally and not robotically.  The 2 that always stand out to me are Maddison and Bamford.  They seem to talk honestly and its refreshing.  Maddison with his "yeah I played great, give me the ball and I'll score with either foot, I'm that good" type of attitude instead of "I owe it to my fantastic teammates" nonsense.  And Bamford over the years talks like a fan with the same frustrations and opinions.

Instead of "definitely" a lot of players, especially Kane, say "yeah..no" which I've never quite got.  "You could do with the 3 points tonight Harry to keep up the pressure on Utd ".  "Yeah No"

Let’s make our goal difference as wide a gap as possible

2-0 Dion and Vic

2 adult spares East Upper if anyone is interested

Hopeful of a win but these kind of games, where the lesser side still has plenty to play for, are definitely banana skins. I expect a really tough first half, with class eventually to show.

2-0, and playoffs pretty much assured.

Ha, yes that’s a good one but another one doing my head in is “100%.”

Nice to see John back

best person for that position

Yeah No 100% definitely, to be fair

Lot of confident talk about this game, but I'm bricking it - hopefully an early goal for us will settle my nerves.

Absolutely shite these men and worthy of their league placing but they've had 3 half chances already to our good chance.

Hope it doesn't end up being a long night.

"on paper" the difference between the two sides is our quality - but we're not playing quality football so far.

All well and good making us favourites but that is entirely dependent on us playing our best.

If we don't step it up we could be in trouble.

Timewasting at every opportunity these cunts. Final ball hasn't quite been good enough so far but it feels like it's coming.

Shooting ourselves in the foot. Wank ball by Morley then poorly defended by us.

Oxford beating Cheltenham which will incentivise Accy even more.

Hope you didn't expect Accy to do anything less than shithouse their way through this game AD - they're battling to survive and you can't blame them.

Fuck me why do we insist on trying to pass it in the goal and giving it away at the back
