Though, oddly, every team in the division ... & many other Divisions, knew this when the season began.

Spot on. Play offs are awesome. We’ve had a mixed bag in my lifetime of the wanderers and I wouldn’t change them for the world. Could argue we went down in 98 with an amazing points tally compared to nowadays but that would be silly.
