A worrying trend

In these times of 'diversity and inclusion', it's rather worrying that flatdick women's football seems to have vacated the top table on WWays.

It can have its attractions tha knows.

Don’t mind the commentators so much , although not the ones that shriek like barnshees. It’s when it comes to pundits I draw the line for example two women we’re discussing Stretford’s miserable night

Slagging off the women's game as if it's a crime and not worth the attention. Is like slagging off all other types of mens football because it's not of Premier League "standard". We're laughed at

  • Micah Richards is awful, I can't stand him. He's far worse than any of the flatdicks

Yes but can they do it on a cold Wednesday night in Stoke?

Anyway Kevin Keegan and Joey Barton are doing the best to keep the flat dicks in the news

Aye RW, Keegan probably the next one in the frying pan after Rubiales.

Hang the bastard. How dare he not like something?

It's nothing to do with them being women, it's to do with the fact that most of them are shit.

So are half of the blokes.

The only female pundit I rate is the the scouse one (I know) on Soccer Saturday. Sue Smith.

She's concise, knowledgeable and doesn't try to make everything sound like it's the most amazing sequence of football in the history of the sport.

Emma Hayes knows her onions (much more than Mr Hill tbh)

only one I listen to with any interest

Got to agree with Keegan and it’s not just football they are taking over the sporting world!! Don’t like Sue Smith her accent does my head in !!!

Aye, good and bad commentators with both men and women.

Aye

Can't stand that Vicky Sparks as she seems to get too excited about the slightest thing

Jonathan Pearce has always been a cock. Guy Mowbray used to be ok but seems to have gone up his own arse

Motson was always a bell end

Alison Mitchell on TMS is top notch.  They have had an Indian woman on too, who was also excellent.

Don’t mind the commentators so much , although not the ones that shriek like barnshees. It’s when it comes to pundits I draw the line for example two women we’re discussing Stretford’s miserable night v the Turks & the pundit replying to the commentator said something like ‘when I played centre-back I always pushed up to support the midfield’……come again , which Champions League game was that in ?
Imagine having league one or two players as pundits on Champions league nights it wouldn’t happen because those guys have no experience at that level ?

It’s laughable the woke agenda.

I never had an issue with Clive Tyledsley, Sam Matterface is decent in terms of commentators.

Pundits - Dion Dublin is cringeworthy. Garth Crooks wants throwing in the sea, Alex Scott is dull as fuck.

Ally McCoist is elite. He should do every game.

She's a great pundit but a terrible co-commentator

And there is the crux of the matter- we all have different views on who is good etc.

I do agree that one or two of the women football commentators don't half screech (tend not to know their names) but that doesn't necessarily mean their input is wank. Just technique.

Wouldn't disagree, her accent grates like fuckery.

Kinnel. Never thought anyone would say that. I prefer the bird pundits. Bloke pundits tend to be ex rags or Liverpool or Micah Richards. What’s to like.

In regards to Keegan I agree with his full comments and what he said makes sense.

That said it must be called as a stupid as it was obvious it would kick up a stink. Unless he’s on his way out and wanted to go with a bang.

Id love it, no I’ve gotta say I’d really love it if he beats the cancellation😂

They are both smug bastards.  Though this is not a men only thing.

Same here. Can't remember the last time I watched a non-BWFC domestic match, never mind the pre/post-match punditry. No interest whatsoever in watching other teams play, nor listening to people talk shite about them.

Quite

That GB news clip is dire. "I think this, I think that, it's kind of like this".

Quite ironic that they're sat there discussing whether women are good at punditry or not, whilst sounding like they're being paid to talk just read out loud from mumsnet or even this forum.

How much are they paid to do that?

Keegan and the like are entitled to their opinion. But it's not a game that belongs to men. Anyone can watch it and anyone can work in the industry. There are shite pundits and good pundits, it's that simple.

Folk discussing a subject as we are doing now?

How terrible. Stop them. Shut down debate.

Doesn't matter whether you, me or any one else agrees with Keegan, or them or the female referee that was also interviewed (notably missing but worth a watch). Its called free speech.
