Great day. We are probably conceding a goal or two too many just now. 2,1,3,2 in the last four. Hope we can tighten that up a little bit. Live on TV on a Sunday? I know I was there for it

Do need to tighten a bit though.
October 25, 20232 yr It'll be an interesting challenge - wondering if Appleton will start with 4 strikers? They have loads of them and are pretty gung-ho.
October 25, 20232 yr Just bought another two tickets and the guy at the ticket office said we have sold about 800; with two days to go that seems poor

We've taken 20 points this year, corresponding fixtures last season was 12. Been doing this myself, mentioned it on here a few times when the neg-heads have started.

Honestly. Not at you but why even ask? I’d rather we had 100 there and win than have what ever isn’t deemed poor.

Birthday celebrations have kept me away over the weekend and last night. Catching up on Northampton and Wycombe threads - crikey there was some pre game/in game doom mongering! 😂 Some good trends for those of a more positive mind-set After 13 games 21/22: W5 D3 L5 - GD 0 - 18 pts - (9th) 22/23: W6 D3 L4 GD+5 - 21 pts - (5th) 23/24: W8 D2 L3 GD+7 - 26 pts - (4th, 2 pts off autos game in hand, currently ambitions higher) Long way to go but still clear signs of continuous progression under Evatt Some funny stuff off Twatter too “I’m furious we’re 2 points off the autos. Should’ve won every game, I reckon it’s because Sadlier was a victim of Evatt’s stubbornness” “But can you do it on a cold Tuesday night in Wycombe?”

October 25, 20232 yr Anyone know what the sales threshold is before we’re legally obliged to play shit? 😅

October 25, 20232 yr 19 minutes ago, Leyther_Matt said: Anyone know what the sales threshold is before we’re legally obliged to play shit? 😅 Playing shit is determined by an overall ranking of away day using a calculation based on geography, capacity of stadium, proportion of home to away fans, overall away fans and how much we hate losing to that team. We're well under the benchmark at Charlton. Playing well and scoring, even in front of the away end, is permitted. I think shit performances are only compulsory at Blackpool, Wigan, Derby of this season's league games.

Think only Sunderland in recent memory has been a good game in front of a big crowd

Charlton was declared an exemption zone for the usual poor performance calculations in about 1977.

That was my first time seeing us win at Wembley/Cardiff so that was the last time a big crowd had a big performance. Usually it seems we forget to turn up for the hype.
