It's the same for the large majority of football league clubs*, the bigger the town/club the higher the London based fans to swell the population of the away end. *Does not apply to Wigan who once turned up to White Hart Lane with, what was it, 19 fans? Wiganers rarely stray from the town. You can find ex-pats from all the Lancs towns across the south-east but meeting a pie-eater is exceedingly rare. Thank Fuck.

Whilst correct in what you’re saying I must add in years gone past and in higher divisions it’s always been a steady 800/900 to London very rarely breaking 1k now seeing 2 consecutive Charlton trips & reading comfortably passing that, must say though that’s across the board for many clubs you wouldn’t think there’s a cost of living crisis for football fans

October 27, 20232 yr Marc Lies article today talks about our second half performances this season (in an imaginary league where only the first halves counted we'd be 2nd, but if only the second halves counted we'd be 19th) This could be a thriller then as CAFC fans have been banging on all week about how they never get going at home until the second half...totally set up for a proper "game of two halves"...that both managers will try to prevent
