When Rioch came to Bolton in 1992 we won three of our first give games then drew 1 and lost 5 of the next six. A very similar thing happened when Big Sam arrived in 1999. It is very early days and SS

For those slagging off SS, you are barking up the wrong tree. We can only even get in to the foothills of judging the guy after he has had a transfer window. He has been dealt a talented but very one-

Previously thought a tinker and a 2/3 signings would sort the job but think Schumacher needs to break this team up, for me the only player mentally tough enough to cope is Dempsey…. Any other player i

That's our absolute best 11 by a million miles.

Ogbeta offers way more than Williams and is less of a fanny

Much the same to me and both can be very good but can also be poor

Ogbeta can be erratic but he's also the best crosser of a ball in the team is creative going forward.

Hopefully Charles can get on the end of some

Just worry about him going walkies like he did against Pompey.

I think Williams is more experienced and carries a little more threat. I think he'll go with him away from home

We might be in there for the 2nd leg.

I agree, no time to start messing about.

All this talk of Barnsley being a bit crap, its not like they're getting thrashed.  Played 7 games in April.  Scored 12, conceded 14.  Both teams scored in all 7 games (when does that ever happen?), didn't lose any by more than one.

We aren't playing Carlisle or Burton, its nonsense to turn up thinking its our's for the taking, it will be a scrap for 180+ minutes and we'll need to be at our best (and make sure we're never behind in the tie preferably).

saw Williams got in the L1 team of the week last week, so based on having a good enough game to get noticed, he should keep his place

I was going to agree with that, then I realised its true of every single player.  From the "best" - Santos, Sheehan, Collins for arguments sake - to those that can't get in the team regularly (Iredale, Ashworth, Dempsey) - if anyone thinks they know which version of them is going to turn up in the play offs they're lieing.

For that reason I honestly don't care who plays (as long as its round pegs in round holes) outside the spine of Baxter, Santos and Collins, because I know they can all be great on their day.

Its just fingers crossed for more "very goods" than "poors" in the next 2 (hopefully 3) games.

And a fair/competent ref or 2.

They've picked up 9 points from 10 games. They are a bit of a bogey team for us but in my eyes there's not a better time to play them given their situation.

As long as we don't push the self destruct button in the away leg , we've got them.

not a hope in hell we go there and play them off the park.no matter what form they are in. it would be nice but it just wont happen

That was Sheehan’s fuck up.

There’s about 30 boozers in Barnsley town centre, plus for anyone in the premier inn theirs another 3 up there, you’ll get in somewhere surely .

Well it gifted them the goal. We were boxed in and was a stupid decision to throw it to Sheehan

Dempsey for Maghoma tomorrow and swap them for the home game. And Ogbeta for Williams.
