If we face similar tactics taking off a CH and playing Vic, Charles and Collins would give the opposition a different thing to think about.

But the game's effectively already lost at that stage if we are behind, we aren't going to suddenly turn into a completely different team - it will still be essentially the same personnel playing the same passing style.  I'm not suggesting its easy against the good teams but far better to get on the front foot from the start like we generally do against the bottom half teams.  If we're ahead, let the other team have the problem of how to break us down rather than it always being us chasing the game in the last half hour.

And sign/play some wingers 😀

I just can't see a scenario where only 2 out of our 7 or whatever CBs start a game, its not happening under IE.

Although I don't care what formation we play as long as we can improve our ability to break down the better sides, that's for IE to sort out, whether its formations/tactics or better players.  An easy one to start with though would be not bringing 11 back at corners, and those that are defending to mark players rather spaces.

Having even one winger in the squad should be a must this summer to allow a formation change if and when needed.

As Perth white has said, you could do it with Charles, Collins and Vic as a more central front 3 but I think they'd get in one another's space, and if Charles is central the 2 either side aren't exactly fast.

One pacy winger needed to give the option of Charles with Collins and winger either side.

Get ahead in the game, so simple, why didn't I (or Evatt) think of that? I'm not saying my ideas are any good, would just be nice to see a variation when we're getting nowhere.

I'd be absolutely amazed if we signed a winger - it would be a tough sell to get anyone half decent when they know they won't be starting games.  I'm repeating myself but no problem with IE staying and improving us if that's what the board decide but thoughts of IE staying and signing proper full backs and or proper wingers just seem naive, surely nobody still has any doubts  about his formations.  He will try to get better at what he does, with maybe less injuries to key players, better luck/refs occasionally, and better form from some players, all of which are possible.

Sorry I didn't mean it to sound simple, I just meant don't leave the option of surprising the opposition till the time in the game when we're desperate for a goal.  Surprise them from the start occasionally, try to get ahead, it won't always work but I've seen enough evidence of IE teams to know that once we're behind in a bigger game, 9 times out of 10 we don't have the players to unlock a team that's set up to purely defend.

Oh I agree unfortunately. I'm just saying what I think we should do. Would be a major about turn for Evatt to show this flexibility

At times last season I was flabbergasted if teams came to the Reebok and played openly and tried to attack.

Oxford home a prime example. Remember thinking 5 mins in what the fuck are they thinking here, as if you'd bowl up here and try and play open expansive football.

Evatt needs to figure out that we aren't Man City and trusting the process till the bitter end doesn't work.

Like Daz says, teams will pack the midfield and pick us off from the off next season.

Aye, just received a reply from the ticket office:

Good morning.

Thank you for your email.

We’ve been informed by Ticketmaster that they have experienced delays in getting them produced, for all clubs in the EFL Play-Offs. This is a new product they have started to offer their clients.

They informed us in the first instance that they would be delivered to all supporters who ordered them, the week following the final.

This has subsequently taken much longer than they originally stated to us. We have raised our concerns with them and pointed out that the service they have offered our supporters is not of the standard we would come to expect.

Rest assured; Ticketmaster have confirmed that they will all be sent out in the next couple of weeks.

Apologies for this delay but it is totally outside of our control at this point.

Best Regards

Begs the question, why? Just why? Doubt you'd be able to raffle the stuff. Surely no-one wants to buy anything that was connected to that day. Goes against the natural, correct,  action of trying to erase from memory.

I understand Cheese wants his medallions (still dont know what they are), to go with the memory of the shirt his lad got, fair play nice memory. Other than that, who's paying for that.

That’s the gamble I suppose. I’ve now got a white bucket hat that will never be flipped again… suddenly realised I’m likely to bump into a load of Oxford day trippers today 😭

I'll give it till the end of the week, then send another email. Feel a bit stupid mithering the ticket office if it's ticketmasters fault, but I was stupid enough to pay for the fucking things, so I might as well carry on.
