They are mentally weak like we are. Spot on. A reflection of the manager. Can imagine his half time team talk when things are heading South? "Come on chaps. Let's kneel with conviction at the start of the second half. That will get you into the right frame of mind". Powder puff lace doyley. We need a Ron Saunders type character. Quote

He got us to a major Final, so does that mean he's 'less woke' than every England manager since Alf Ramsay? Quote

An error for me Don’t agree he slows the game down to much and falls over to easily and he’s been poor this season according to a City fan I work with . Quote

I think we stand a good chance of going as good if not better than: 82, 86, 88, 92, 98, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2022. Certainly better than 78 and 94 😊 Could even match or better our best attempts since 1966 Point being, it’s always been the case watching England, flatter to deceive, high expectations, never quite achieving. But (if you can remove your dislike of the manager) it’s a great ride watching your nation. I’m looking forward to it Quote

Oh, hang on. That was Colonel Sanders. How many trophies has your 'more woke' manager delivered? Quote

He's been injured for most of it. Then struggled for form deffo. He's still a mercurial talent and could've come in useful at the very least. Looks like he's going for out and out raw pace. Which is fair enough. Our defence looks even weaker than it did before the cull. Are we planing on Kyle Walker at CB? Quote
gonzo Posted June 6 Posted June 6 And nobody on God's green planet can tell me Eze is a better talent than Jack Grealish. Quote

Yup. Offers little but being a hold up player on the left wing these days. Was different when he was Villa he had something special. Waistcoat could call up Ian Marshall to do what he does. Waste of a place in the squad. Quote

Eze didn’t play many more league games than grealish but he made them count and finished the season superbly we have enough talent in that department unfortunately for him Quote

He doesn't have to play like he does at Man City though? He's drilled to fuck in his role there. Anyway it's done, fair play for Gaz showing some balls but for me it looks like we've 4 wingers of the same mould. Losing Grealish and Maddison you lose a great lot of creativity. The headline is that defence. It's absolutely awful. Quote
ianofcleveleys Posted June 6 Posted June 6 First saw Eze play for QPR against us in Champ when he was about 16, could see within 20 minutes he'd be top level. One of those 'who the hell's this?' moments. Had movement, pace, balance and skill to die for. Quote

But I think his role with England has been equally subdued, its all pass pass pass and that was never his game from what I saw. I hadn't realised how lacking we were in defence, it looks like Luke Shaw is the only player other than Kane that we absolutely can't afford to be injured. Trippier and Dunk, is that the best we can do? And Conor Gallagher is OK but given the competition to play in midfield I'm amazed, he's just half decent rather than a potential match winner like Maddison. I've heard of Wharton but never seen him kick a football so I can't comment. Quote

I've always been an advocate of him playing this role as in my eyes it showed his adaptability and commitment. Basically doing as he's told and being totally committed to the role for the benefit of the team. It took him a season to get his head around it then he was like a well oiled machine in that treble winning season. But you're probably right, it's that role that's hindered his England place. Shame for the lad. He's some talent, too big of a talent not to be playing for his national team or every week in a much more free role anyway. I can't see him getting back as a weekly starter for City now, hope he fires off to Villa or Spurs or summet and gets his chi back. Edited June 6 by gonzo Quote

Prince of the wokes. 2) The passport I got stamped heading into Gib on Monday suggests that I might be British. One of the smarties ( ) on here knows better apparently. 3) So he's won fuck all then including spaffing a golden opportunity on home soil using crap tactics. Get fucking rid now.
