I'd have LIVED Ryan & his mate to have adopted Bolton, so I'm relaxed about them. They do appear to be in it for the longish haul & it's boosted a flagging town.

But Ryan is spread very thinly & it won't continue.

No one has completely bottomless pockets.

It’s been a fairy tale for them so far so let’s see how long the Hollywoods stay interested when it starts going the other way, which it will. They’ve spent heavily on good players for that level but they’re now swimming in a much bigger pool and results won’t be quite as easy to come by. They may well continue their rise but I can’t see it being this year.

Fuckin weirdos.

About 30 years ago when I was between marriages I was having a no-commitment thing with a pretty young Welsh girl and stupidly decided to wish her happy new year in Welsh so went on to a site to get a translation and cross checked with another to make sure they weren't taking the piss.

Took me 6 months to get off their all-Welsh weekly mailing list as I they didn't respond to my emails in English and I couldn't find the unsubscribe button, it being in Welsh and all.

It's more sheer time.

He's married, 4 kids, wife works & he does at least 4 films a year. He now Directs as well.

He owns 2 baseball teams &, I think, Basketball teams. He lives 5,000 miles away.

I don't suggest any of this is fake or not well meant but Jeez.

Currently,  due to the tv programmes, he's actually making money from all this.

It's truly wonderful, but has It's limits.

I'll take his wife off his hands (not the kids though)

Yeah many times. Also seen loads of bizarre bitter Bolton fans who try and claim teams are small. Normally the same people who see United as a rival

You're jumping on board then eh?

My wife's mum was from Johnstown near Wrexham and as a family we went to wife's grandma's 60th in  pub in Johnstown, me wife and 2 daughters, I wen to the bar asked for some drinks and they all started talking in Welsh, ignorant cnuts, I just said to the missus "come on, we're going", and we went home, fcuk 'um

I've heard this bollocks a lot over the years, and probably even believed it at some point. Having worked in Wales with a lot of Welsh people, the fact is - a lot of them just happen to speak Welsh. They don't speak English all the time, then suddenly switch to Welsh when an English stranger walks in. How the fuck would they even know you're English? It's utter fucking nonsense. A myth.

I was staying over for a couple of nights in Wales once whilst my other half was on a course.

I went into a chippy for tea.

As I approached I heard customers talking in English.

As I entered, they changed to Welsh.

No myth.

The truth.

You know best, everyone else tells lies, they knew i was English as soon as I opened my mouth to order drinks, but oh no, you know better than anyone

I'm sure they were all speaking the finest Queen's English, then as soon as you ordered a pint they suddenly switched to Welsh. Get a grip man.

We can add "Psychic" as a genetic Welsh trait.

They usually talk in English says my wife's cousin, and I suppose the Welsh bungalow burners were a myth in the 70's and 80's. You need to get a life instead of trying to engage people in arguments to make you feel important

Must be true if your wife's cousin says so. Jesus wept.

It's a real conundrum.

So because you have not personally experienced it, it doesn't/never happened, aye alreet

You walked into a pub in Wales, and people were speaking Welsh, so you walked out. That's the extent of your experience.

There was a famous incident of an individual putting a telescope to his blind eye, in order not to see.

Maybe he has an affection for Nelson, but but the fuck, you wouldn't want him on your side if you were in the navy!

Why have you twisted it now? Once again, this is waht I said

Wouldn't matter if you had- still more experience than he's had, and proof that it's not a myth.

Are you saying I'm lying?

5 English contractors in a canteen full of Welshers. Do you not think we would stand out?

It's just a pisstake isn't it. They do it for a laugh.

Why would anyone make something like that up ffs?

The Welsh are cunts

Moronic English exceptionalism and xenophobia. "How dare they speak their native language in their own country!? They must only be speaking it to annoy me!"
