It was, he came from a small village outside Caernarvon, Gwynedd. But don't believe anyone from there who claims to not speak English as well. Not been the case for over 70 years.

I’m reliably informed she likes to play away, but has learnt from the likes of Wyn Davies she fools people with her new found welsh language, now using this as her first tongue, unless she is speaking in a Welsh pub, in which case she speaks English to fellow Welshers, then changes as soon as anybody English comes in.

Must admit, I find it difficult to believe that there are folk there that don't speak English.

That's clearly not going to happen.  Its different circumstances obviously, but comparable to Chelsea becoming a totally different club 25 years ago, City 20 years ago.  They are now huge even if (in Chelsea's case) they aren't winning leagues every year, but their pulling power and status won't be dimmed in the next few decades barring something catastrophic.  Wrexham will have relatively big budgets/huge crowds for donkeys years now, get used to it, that doesn't guarantee promotion but it guarantees they won't be worrying about relegation from L1.

@Big E is the only Welsh person I know.

You're correct, though I seem to remember him putting his kids in "terrorist garb" for a photo.

If this is accurate, then he needs his head testing.

Not comparable at all to Chelsea and City. Both are massive clubs in big areas and there’s no comparison between the wealth of their owners to the Hollywood boys. Let them have their moment in the sun.

I'm no fan of him, but I just can't get worked up about some flute bands and Palestine flag wavers waffling on about 400 year old battles and religious nonsense.

I don't like him because he always seems to be on the winning side against us. I find that pretty irritating.

All 3 teams were catapulted from relative obscurity to big spenders in their respective leagues, almost overnight. 

Chelsea are considered massive now globally, but they weren't when I was growing up, certainly smaller than say West Ham, Villa, Forest.  Chelsea & City attracted new fans almost overnight, new stadiums and infrastructure (Wrexham just a new stand so far, probably just the start) and that remains in place whether the owners stay for 30 years or 3 years. 

I'm not saying its "forever" - maybe Wigan and us showed growth of a club on and off the pitch can go pear shaped eventually with mismanagement, but I find it a bit unrealistic to say this is their moment in the sun, yes in terms of media exposure/Netflix/USA razzmatazz but they won't be any lower than they are now for many many years, IMO, bearing in mind how small and skint most clubs in L1 are.
