  • Seriously, he’s reached his level. He’s been outthought by lots of other coaches from teams with a fraction of our budget. Can’t really add to that, it’s a bit basic, Sharon?

As has been mentioned above. Older ones like me remember the Phil Neal days. I loved Phil Neal. He got us out of a world of shit. Took us from the depths of despair to something more respectable. But

It's weird, I don't feel like we're in total disarray like we did in the last days of say Freedman or Lennon.

The players are there, we've got 4 forwards who between them should get 60+ goals. A defence that we know is solid. 2 solid keepers for this league.

The pieces are there, it's just how they're used.

The pieces need to want to be used as well though.

But yeah that was what I intimated after the game - the latter part of the Lennon years, pretty much the entire Parky era and Hill etc we were just a mess so you kind of give them a pass on that one. This is a settled set of players who aren’t kids or journeymen, with the biggest backing we’ve had in decades, and they just looked completely out of their depth.

Question Is this our longest  period of our history of being out of the championship if we don’t go up this season ?

I think it was 9 seasons in the 80's/90's

I've seen this before at Bolton and other football clubs. Indeed you can see it generally in places of employment where the workforce loses faith in the management and "the project". We're outsiders looking in and its guesswork but that's how it appears to me.

There's only one solution if we have indeed reached this state of affairs. Ian Greaves once used a phrase "its sacking time", he was gone weeks later. Some boards would have done the deed already or would do so after that pitiful showing today.

This is the first time I've spoken like this about Evatt, but I'm not sure what other conclusion to draw now. All the tell-tale hallmarks are there.

I genuinely think Sharon is a faithful manager & sacking is a tough ask for her. It would hurt her & he seems to be a friend. Top marks for that but she has to be concerned enough to take the business decision.

Just seen on Twitter it’s 12 wins from last 36, that right?

Ultimately she has a fiduciary responsibility to the other owners.

Damn right they fucking will.

Take the rough with smooth unlike some cunts they have had the knives drawn long before now.

I'll front it all day long. I've backed him, then been patient/hoping for change.

Appears that change isn't happening any time soon.

What I won't do is throw my toys out the pram and wave my cock about that I was right all along the next time we win a game.

I dont think anyone on here have said that have they?

Well, that's a thing as well. More than a couple of players out there didn't exactly look like they were dying for the cause did they. Which says a lot.

Switched off, tuned in!

It's hard putting the finger on a particular shite bit today but one that stuck out was how bad sheehan is.   Believing his own hype who knows bug he was fakin pointless,  dempsey also didn't do himself any favours.

As much as I don't like saying it but it really looks like borrowed time now.

Oh and Carlisle at wum last season  - twin it with this shite today

We had 10 years from 1983 to 1993. I've lost count of how many this is. Not 10 yet. .

The fact it's seriously fucking ace drinking weather is not going to help matters on here tonight 😃

I dont think so, 50 per cent are just voicing their opinions that he should have gone after Oxford. Its not about us and them, but we dont want our season over within two months of it starting. We all want whats best for the club, we all have opinions, but this cannot carry on as it is. Weve not played anyone fuckin decent yet and won one out of four. What do you thing we should do? Stick with Evatt?
