I’m hovering over the cancellation button on our hotel…. The only thing that is stopping me, is the chance we may have a new manager, which would inject some hope of a new beginning.

I mean Christ it would be some baptism of fire, with a bunch of midfielders unavailable and only 1 fit reserve central defender, against top of the league. But I think it would be a free hit for a new manager wouldn’t it? 

Spoke to a few away ST holders, all of them have used this as one of their five returns.

It's a bit like watching us at home this (Wycombe being us) v a Burton or whatever that try and dog it out for 90 minutes, waste time, win cheap free kicks... not something were accustomed to, we're usually either a Porsche or a Lada, it's nice to see us being a Ford Focus tonight! It's been missing for some time!

Is it just me or is it embarrassing watching how poor we are. All over the place and you think they’re gonna score everytime they go forward. They don’t even look that strong.

We've given ourselves a chance here by showing we can be low risk and pragmatic, Baxter launching it away from our area, wingbacks throwing it upfield not backwards or sideways.

Simple stuff, not pretty, but the stuff clean sheets are built on. Less chance of shipping goals if we don't invite the opponents to score them. When they have to create their own chances Wycombe are pretty limited 

For a club who’s spent the money we have on a strike force, we look devoid of a threat. Probably due to the lack of any creativity or wingers.

I don't think we have been embarrassing or poor, not brilliant either but showed some pragmatism we have lacked before. We are missing a lot of creativity and haven't offered much in attack, but to be expected with those missing

Everytime we get the ball, it’s being smashed forward. It’s absolute panics stations as if anywhere will do. We just need to take a breathe and get some control back.

 

they’re a big physical team and just look to get balls in the box. We’re supposed to be good in possession but look like a dear in the headlights everytime we get it
