Wycombe Wanderers (A)

I’m hovering over the cancellation button on our hotel…. The only thing that is stopping me, is the chance we may have a new manager, which would inject some hope of a new beginning.

I mean Christ it would be some baptism of fire, with a bunch of midfielders unavailable and only 1 fit reserve central defender, against top of the league. But I think it would be a free hit for a new manager wouldn’t it?

Spoke to a few away ST holders, all of them have used this as one of their five returns.

Is anyone going??!

If Forrester is dropped next week after that he may as well pack his bag and leave right there and then. There’s not even the excuse anymore of Santos being ©️ he’s been patient, got his chance a

Quite enjoyed the game. Didn't think it was dire, shit or embarrassing as some have described it. Good point away from home against top of the league.

Played well considering Lolas and Victor haven’t contributed - Thomason quiet as well with Matete trying to hold the midfield on his own.

Can’t fault the intensity & effort (would have beaten Wigan with half of it) but our attacking play is all over the place.

Dion for Vic at half time?

If we are going to the front early, then in behind/down the channels would seem the most likely way.

Thomason and Lolos "invisible"?

Maybe there is a slightly different approach being asked of them.

Keep it tight, then maybe see what we can do later.

Whether it will work, who knows, but so far, it seems we've done OK.

Lolos has done all right at what he's no doubt been asked to do, just add a bit of height and nuisance value in behind front two.

The game seems to be passing Lolos by but it’s good to see us getting the ball forward quicker than watching Santos take 5 minutes to make a 10 yard pass.

Makes sense.

It may all come unstuck yet, but we can't grumble so far.

What must be going through Dions head. Left out every other week or dragged off every 60 mins. He’s thinking fuck this I’m off. The only fucker in the front line with a heart and a will to win. Evatt tactics have ruined him. Let’s play Wrist bandange that will work. Unreal.

Genuinely can't remember the last time we made a tactical sub at H-T.  60 minutes minimum as we all know.

Dreadful game, MOM the commentator for managing to find something to talk about for 50 minutes with nobody alongside him.  Thankless task because that half was a very poor standard and no talking points of note.  It feels like we are just waiting for them to up their game 10% and take the lead, then we'll respond.

Nope you are wrong.

Good first 15 , then they came back into it . Lolos is just off the pace an looks lost in midfield but one of the few with any height on the pitch . Vic has done alright but Id still replace him at half time. For our last chance saloon defence they have done very well . Happy with that first half.

Wrong about what ? Because I'm deffo not wrong about Thomasson going missing and I'm not wrong about us not being good enough with the ball.

I couldn't give a fuck if these are top of the league. We need to pass the ball better. We can have these. I ain't getting an inferiority complex over fucking wycombe.

Only if half-time is +/- 60m

As much as we've missed Santos defensively (physically mainly), I agree we haven't missed the walking football.

Shit game or not; we've done something right first half.

Considering the Wigan debacle, I feared the worst, including the first half.

Yep, 60 minute substitution of one or more of the front men. Often a double sub but I doubt it today given the injuries and suspensions.

Lolos is way too slow .

Not disagreeing with that, but I'm not starting each game thinking it just needs to be better than the shitshow v Wigan.  It feels like our expectation levels have hit rock bottom, if we draw 0-0 and then avoid defeat v Barnsley it will be like IEs turned it round, when did this become our target (not having a dig at you, just a general frustration with what passes for acceptable now).

Can't believe Wycombe will keep being this wasteful, final ball or decision is woeful. Hanging on a bit now.

Tactically they’re streets ahead of us. Looking like a matter of time before they score. We need to find a way of keeping hold of the ball.

That’s definitely not Sharon.

Sharon looks like she's accidently turned up at a lemon party

This is where Evatt has to earn his corn.

Observe and make decisions accordingly.
