It was fair enough to give Sheehan a go today, but Simons and Erhahon to start every time from now on

The meltdown after a loss is so predictable and boring. TSL is shite, Sheehan is shite, Schumacher is shite, Cogley is shite but he should have played on with an injury, our top scorer is shite. Get a grip you absolute fucking fannies.

Sound like the cretins stood in front of us today. Constantly slagging literally everyone off.

We were shite today and everyone's entitled to express their opinion but christ I had to bite my tongue at points

Anyone hear what was said between Forino and our fan? Seemed to be having words at the end

This i agree with.Let them build a understanding of each other unlike today there seemed to be little or no understanding of each others game

We were crap. Still not convinced ACD touched that guy for the pen. Looked like he pulled his leg away

So now goalies aren't allowed to make any mistakes. Love to know how anyone can think Miller is any better. He was shocking against Wednesday and since has played in two low key games in the Vertu Cup and had little to do.

Based on what I've seen

No way I'd start miller purely on his performance v Wednesday

But TSL isn't that good it seems, and as a benchmark, I've seen much better performances from Baxter and Southwold at this level

He was going down anyway, even without any contact. I also doubted there was any contact.

Baxter certainly,  he was probably the best keeper in the division until his injury , I'm convinced we would have gone up automatic if he would of stayed fit.

Today wasn't a one off it was a continuation of our season so far. For me Wigan was the one off.

Fairly easy night for Miller v City but he'd plenty to occupy him v Rotherham when we were defending a 1-0 lead with 10 for a half and did alright

... & Wimbledon. Was that a one-off too ?

We've managed 3 league wins this season that levels out to about 15 all season. Not good enough.

I don't disagree. Add it to the poor run at the end of last season & it's shocking tbh.

But Wigan was, quite clearly, not a 'one off'.

3 points from 5 games. So we need to change something not because I am tactical genius but because it ain’t working. I do not care that if Burstow scores it changes the game, it was not a chance we created just shit defending from them

2 wingers and only 2 in midfield needs to change. Exactly how SS does that is upto him.  But teams in the division are strong and mostly well organised, certainly well enough organised to cope with what we produced today. Whatever system changes are needed Sheehan can not play in a midfield 2 ever again.

Today was Evatt like, we made a team change that simply was not needed. We are out battled and out muscled all over the pitch. It was fucking awful.

In isolation the away form isn't that bad though a win would be nice

It's the draws at home when we should be winning that are keeping us down

But either way, the issue is the same

We are not making the most of our dominance at either end

Still

Could be worse

We could be less dominant

Last time we went this long in a season without taking the lead in an away game was 2017.  It took us till the 7th away game at Fulham, Ameobi.   Cairney equalised in the 94th minute (and he still plays for them).

This is really where I am, I dont want rid, I dont think constantly changing manager works and costs loads, something we cant afford. I was loyal to Evatt for longer than a lot, but we were due a change, I hope Schumacher was the solution and there were some positive signs, but there are also some worryingly familiar issues which we cant seem to shake and it is just so frustrating

Me too.
I totally fail to understand the obsession with Evatt that some folk on here have - maybe it’s because he won so many games and gave us such fantastic highs - and lows - that they just can’t let it go.

Like you, I was loyal to him for longer than most, possibly because the way he wanted to play was so risky and he had no back up so he was fucked when all those injuries happened and I felt he needed the kind of clear out that Schumacher got - but once he went he was history. I thought he had more to offer, but once he was gone he was gone.

Weird then that the folk who hate him so much bring him up ten times a week.

Some folk need to move on - this is the Schumacher era.

Absolutely - as I’ve said all along. Not saying the Schumacher era is any more successful though.

Hopefully it will improve.

I'm not sure who on here has an obsession with Evatt and can't let it go?

He was our previous manager, for a long time, we still make mentions of Hill and Parky, its all part of the context and discussion.

It comes across a bit patronising, folk can bring previous players and managers into the discussion.

Folk don't "need to move on", all ex managers and players are part of our history and fabric.

Yeah, at Stockport we concede first, Barnsley, Blackpool, Leyton Orient and now Northampton. 2 losses, 3 draws, 0 wins, 3 points from 15.

It's just putting an unnecessary amount of pressure at home.

I'm not really too concerned with the quality as we have a very talented squad, but I'm more concerned with their naivety and lack of experience, having an average age of just 23.5.

I think it's costing us in some of the big moments defensively and offensively.

But the most important aspect is just simply not scoring first.

Its only 5 away games, but so far the pattern in every single one of those games has been playing relatively well, missing big chances, then conceding a soft goal and  chasing the game.

Something has to change drastically if we want to be anywhere near promotion. We aren't right now, hence why we are a just a mid table team.
