So there's 20 PL teams currently now, and you could ask the question who have we most recently beaten (in proper competition, notU21s in the pizza cup or owt), and who have we waited longest for a win against? Now Sunderland is the obvious answer to the most recent (6-0) and given our shite record against them no surprise chelsea is the one we've waited longest for. But who is next in line in both categories? So who have we had the 2nd longest wait for a win against, and and who after Sunderland is the most recent? No cheating.

probably

Villa most recent when it snowed it's arse off

we beat Chelsea in 2004, so it'll be a PL team from around that time

looking at the table I don't think we've played Palace much since we were both in the PL

Was Villa the season we beat Forest on the last day?

If so I'll go Forest

Forest is right. The other has a ground where I watched us play someone else, who wasn't the ground owners.

Ipswich most recent.  I’d go for Brighton as the longest too, can’t recall  beating them as our paths crossed on their rise/our decline.

we beat them 1-0 in the Championship about 10 years ago, Zach Clough scored a nice goal.

we played them in the Championship along with Bournemouth around the Freedman era

so if Chelsea is the longest (2004), then I'd say we must've beaten Brigthon and Bournemouth in the Championship

an  NGog goal rings a bell at Bournemouth, and a late goal (maybe winner) at Brighton

Played Palace in cup during our skint days. Can't remember the score though.

There's a flaw with Ipswich...

actually, though I was thinking of the league Cup game, you saying that does ring a bell. Was it one of those cracking sunny days that occasionally turn up for opening match? 30 fucking years....mind you, our first UEFA game was 20 years ago yesterday.
