Grim that. Saved somewhat by coming to this  chicken place, its a proper set up like Popeyes or KFC etc, but the chicken came on warbies medium?

Anyway it was good. I'm drenched.

We'd now need over 2.3ppg from the last 19 games to take us to 88 points, which usually isn't enough for automatic promotion but might be this year. Over the course of a full season that'd be a 108 point season. And that's with the top three to play away.

In the hole we've dug for ourselves a point (against a side who've won two games since 4th Oct) does nothing for us. Unless we are just looking at consolidating a playoff position.

Another way of looking at it would be we’re 7 off 2nd with a good run of fixtures ahead. Tonight wasn’t a must win for me, the last 2 games were an opportunity to turn things around. I’d say we need to be winning 3 out of the next 4 to be catching up though.

Everything depends on whether we can improve in the final 3rd.

this is why points that may be decent in isolation aren't half as good when you're playing catch up, it's just one less game we have to catch up and a game in hand for those ahead to extend, too many dropped points, if the playoffs is our only hope, 2 of them will be away, lets hope we change our ways before then and perhaps bring in some attackers because this version of Burstow and Dalby as our front 2 isn't scary for defenders or reliable in any way, even ACD as seemingly lost his magic

Not a bad point, but frustrating couldn’t nick it. That chance Macca had, which he made for himself, a top striker would have curled it into top right corner. We’ve no one who could do that.

Agree need to win next two but far from easy. More anti football. Richie Wellens and then Bloody Burton. More scrapping needed.

Decent point on a postage stamp pitch & a team of shithouses , they were set up not to lose & maybe scab a winner from a bobbly set piece.

If we hadn’t been on a shit run pre Wiggin that would have been lauded as a good point .

Happy with four points from the last two games .

Hard to move the ball quickly forward on such a short pitch with opponents set up defensively.

Tutu was our best player by a mile , although Forino & Conway were decent.

That Phillips isn’t really a footballer is he , ref must have been intimidated by him

or just bent , eight fouls through the back of our players , not a hint of a yellow card . Having said that Johnston could have walked for his lunge.

I posted it earlier we need a player who can run at defenders through the middle to put them under pressure .

Like a Mark Davies type?

He wasn't so good with them tonight!

Frustrating really, as he is capable, but very inconsistent.

Would be good to have someone who can whip 'em in at pace, or plop it into the perfect space to be attacked.

We do have that in Christie but we’d sacrifice in other areas.

McAtee as to start Saturday, we have tried Burstow and he just doesn’t look up to it  .
posting the obvious but we need a striker in this window!

Not sure about McAtee; he nearly gifted them a goal. Lots of running but lacks composure

McAtee is clearly not good enough, works hard, but lacks serious composure when it matters and ends up getting worked up with himself in frustration.

Saying that I'd start him if we don't bring anybody in as we are desperately in need of just something different up top.

Our defence is solid and we control most games, started looking much more solid away from home and a keeper who looks experienced and calm.

We just need goals and with a few well needed additions, hopefully it is a fix that can turn us from a top 6 team into a top 2 team.

JM's end product was poor, I get the call for him to start because he was heavily involved, but he had one bad pass that led to danger like Gale did too, 1 bad cross, 1 bad shot wide and 1 tame shot at keeper, playing him would be in hope rather than expectation a bit like continuing with Burstow in hope he'll discover his goalscoring form from early in season.

We didn’t need to win to be in with a chance of going up

Well you could say that about anyone Wigan and Blackpool could still go up

This new ‘system’ is wank, there I said it

4 points and two clean sheets on the road, will take that after the recent dross - this away game was always going to be minging

will review the system again this time next week after two home games

You say 'another way of looking at it' like that paints a brighter picture. To be seven points off second, when they have a game in hand, is loads. They play Burton at home on Thursday. Bradford are also three ahead with two games in hand.

It's going to take win after win just to catch up, let alone overtake both.

Someone is going to get to 85-92 points and finish second in this league. If that's us, it really doesn't leave a lot of room for taking a point anywhere.

Let's touch base again in 4 games 😄

I agree it's a lot & I don't have much confidence is us to bag many goals.

But I think there have been some positives in the last two games.
