Last time we played 'em away, outplayed them, their keeper had a worldie performance but won with an o.g, and a shocking red card from them,

Don’t even remember that

Tough draw.

A ground Ive not done, so I’m tempted.

TNT do a decent coverage of the draw at these non-league grounds pre the Monday night game, that Lass is a good-un.

Good chance of being on telly. Christ only knows what that does for the scheduling.

Dunno

There's 8 games with non league teams in which I'm sure would be ahead of us in the list

Me neither. Don't even remember that kit. It's a belter.

Hopefully Duncan Shearer is injured.

I watched it in a bar in Magaluf, rough as fuck on a stag do. Early kick off, too. Was literally the only person in there.

Went there for the League Cup semi final yonks ago.

The Spin2Win logos were stuck on with pritt stick on that seasons kit they looked shit after 1 wash.

Not a bad design though.

Tuesday neet,  mark came up front !   89 I think.     4 game tie.

I'd forgotten all about that, but it was a massive result in our promotion season.  We'd just gone 7 games in L1 without a win and hadn't scored in the last 4, including that infamous defeat at Rochdale.  Hence very few in the away end.  I was on a foreign holiday and when I heard we'd finally scored a goal, celebrated it like we'd won promotion.  That was the first of 9 wins in 10 games.

That run from Ameobi to set up Proctor, I loved watching him glide through defences when he was at it.

Pretty shite draw. At least Mansfield (who we play in the league on the Tuesday after) have also got a League 2 side away in the form of Accrington who will hopefully kick the shit out of them.

I am sure Carlisle are chuffed with Blackpool away. Be a lively do.

With L1 and L2 having a full set of fixtures on that Tuesday, any ties switched to Sunday will probably have league games moved to Wednesday.  And there will be a lot of weakened teams in the cup with a league game 3 days later which wasn't a factor in the 1st round.

Re Carlisle, their win at Reading has to be one of the all time cup comebacks, 2 down in the 93rd minute, then the sub scores a hat-trick!  Great reward with effectively a local derby by their standards.

One of the worst views of a football match I've ever had. I only remember the Baseball Ground, in the FA cup being worse.

Have long held dislike for Swindon since their fucking shiny badge was in every 2nd packet of Panini Premier League 92 stickers I got. That and Peter Reid's massive heed were my most common swapsies

The Barry Cowdrill "offside" goal still rankles.

😁

I don't think crazy legs ever hit a sweeter shot (or indeed any pass, clearance or whatever) in his career.

Bloody ridiculous offside decision.

That's what we took last time.

iirc we watched the rugby grand final in a pub in Swindon after the game.

winnable tie, then hopefully Everton away round 3.

Isn't he Supa John's best mate?

Does Jan Aga Fjortoft still play for them?

Different times.

Super John, still boiling piss 30 years later.

Fabulous 👌

not as ridiclous as having to go to a 4th tie

For that 'offside' was there some kind of backlash towards it afterwards?, love how the presenter says take note of the player as he's offside without saying what a pathetic call, like him or the people responsible for his autocue thought it was legit, great strike, surely the ref off picture had a decent view of it.
