December 5, 2025Dec 5 With all this cup excitement I had forgotten that our next proper match is only 4 days away now and it’s going to be an interesting one. Mansfield started the season well but have slipped in the last few weeks as they are in the middle of an injury crisis with 11 squad members having treatment this week - I guess Nigel Clough will have to decide who to risk against us. They have some good players, notably tough-tackling midfield bastard McDonnell - one of three on loan from (surprise, surprise…) Nottingham Forest. We need to start winning away and it looks like the ideal time to be playing these, but they are a typically robust Clough team so we need to be on it.

But I don’t give a monkey’s about that - we need to be good enough to win by any means, regardless.
