Sounds like we are in for a bit of aerial bombardment

And that's without James Collins, he scored 14 league goals for them between end Jan and early Sep, probably mostly with his head.  Out for the season now, but they've obviously replaced him.

Do they launch it directly from the centre halves at the back, or make a little ground up the wings and wang in crosses early?

Can't see many, if any changes to our line up, but is it possible that SS makes a tactical change in personnel/formation to stop their main threat.

He might be inclined to play 3 CBs to cope with the balls in.

Or stick to full-backs to stop the balls coming in the first place. Really hope Conway is fit.

Let’s hope Leicester come in for their manager before our game to derail them.

Well they all seem very confident on the Imps thread so they’ll be very disappointed when we muller them. I love to see over confidence turn to dismay. They’re already on with the Ethan, Ethan what’s the score crap so I can’t wait to see his reaction when we stuff it up them.

Aye.

That's my thoughts- 3 centre backs.

I would imagine CBT would be more of a physical presence to help Conway on that side too- rather than Gale.

As for RWB, wouldn't mind Christie in there.

Not arsed about him bombing up and down- just support the man in front as and when.

Tutu is a worry if an aerial bombardment comes in.

Gale should'nt be anywhere this.

And if we don't win then just smash up their pubs again

I don't buy some of the criticism he has received over the season, but since his early subbing, he clearly hasn't impressed.

I still think SS made a big mistake with that move, but it has gone now.

Maybe a clear the air chat is necessary, or if that has happened, then a more forceful chat.

Maybe Toal, or another confidant, to act as a bridge, and a sounding board for the player.

In the end though, it's up to him.

Its seems like its going to be a physical game. Gale isn't suited to anything physical.

Lincoln secondin the league for most bookings and sending offs only Plymouth have got more

They'll be bang up for EE and 100% target him.

Stay away from the Anchor next to the level crossing

We were fine in there last season

I think we stick with the starting XI that has had 2 excellent first halves last 2 games, but ready to make changes a bit sooner if needed.

We are already playing 3 centre halves with GJ at left back. Dalby and EE both big fellas, Dempsey exceptional in the air for his height.

I am 50/50 on right back but think you can worry about the opposition too much and take away from your own best set up. The balancing point would be if they play long ball and target Tutu.

Hopefully SS had a quiet word with EE and he does not let them wind him up, also with McAtee not to give silly free kicks away when trying to help out at the back.

Do not think we have seen the best of Apter yet, so if he has a good game and CBT shows as he has last 2, along with McAtee and Dalby it will give them plenty to think

Do not think they are only a physical team, there are plenty of those in this division, given their results all year they will be a lot more than that. They battered Bradford recently.

Lincoln are my local team so I know a little about them.

They are aggresive in that they won't let the oponents settle and play how they want. When I've seen them they attack mainly on their right so Johnston & co need to have a good game, none of those soft corners or throws please as they get a lot of joy from set plays including long throws. Ben House needs watching for those second balls from set plays.

Take the game to them from the first whistle, play on the front foot and do not concede for the first quarter and the home crowd will get on their team's backs... Lincoln supporters stiĺl have a lot of negativity about them despite the fact they are having a good season.

That was the one that had the windows put through a few seasons ago, I don't frequent the boozer, not set foot in there for 10 years at least.

Good luck

I think Gale was brought in at a time when we the thinking was we need two decent wingers and for a while they thrived and everything was played through them. Then opposition teams started doubling up on them and they struggled. Schumacher changed the system to increase the threat through the middle with direct balls to Dalby. ACD adapted well to his new role before the injury -  Gale simply didn’t. And until he does adapt - and improve his attitude - he’ll be benched.

He may be in a huff about being hooked but Schumacher had little choice but change a failing system of which Gale was an integral part.

I just watched the highlights of the previous game at our place. Jesus wept, how any of their fans can say they were unlucky to concede in the last minute and that they deserved to win the game.

We had a million chances, goals disallowed. Their goal came from the most obvious foul you'd ever see push in the back on Erhahon.

Saying that, a lot has changed since then and the test will be completely different at their place.

I see them as a League 1 team on steroids. Low possession, long throws, ball in orbit, tough, in your face, playing for set pieces.

But obviously what they do works and if they do beat us and go up then they deserve it more than anybody on a much smaller budget too.

It's going to be very tough but I believe we've got the physicality in our side now both at the back and up top to compete and then individually we have more than enough quality to win.

Bring it on.

All true, but they have some decent players and, as somebody already mentioned they are very strong attacking, especially on the right through Darikwa at the back and Reece Hackett in front of him so we need to be especially strong on our left - which may be a problem depending on who starts there.

Injuries permitting,if you are correct I can see Conway with Tutu Infront of him

I think a few widgies are getting over excited in Lincolnshire talking about 3s and 4s

1-2 with Kenny coming off the bench and sweeping home a late winner

Not for me CBT as to play force there RB to defend and Kenny off the bench let’s see how they deal with 2 big strikers who put themselves about?

The only thing I can predict is it isn't going to be goalless.
