freds dad Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 It will be interesting to see what style of play they use today. Will it be sideways and backwards or long balls into our defence? Quote

Arrested development Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Evatt is gonna play 3 at the back. Which means there should be space for the wingers to wreak havoc. Id expect it to be blavkett Taylor and apter. Apter hasn't been great so far but surely he's bound to score past these. Quote

bwfc4ife Posted February 21 Posted February 21 CBT’s day today hopefully. Could do with seeing something from Apter too Quote
masi 51 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Staggered. Back four with a wingback at right back and a centre half at left back. Two wingers and a number ten yet back to one forward. Fucking lost for words I could see a team like that if we had a dozen injuries and not a full squad to select from Another goal incoming from a ball launched above johnson head from our corner Edited February 21 by masi 51 Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Quite a surprise line up, and a surprise squad. A number of IE's players in, which is perhaps understandable after SS interview in the BN. Have those players some unfinished business with him? Quote

We've always played with one forward. We play 4231. Whether it's Kenny or mcatee or dempsey, they play as a 10. Edited February 21 by Arrested development Quote
RUREADY2ROLL Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Why is he playing Johnston at full back? No issues with the rest Quote
Arrested development Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Gale being back doesn't surprise me at all. Against a back three , him coming on fresh will cause carnage. Edited February 21 by Arrested development Quote

No problems Johnston playing there if Conways injured We have no decent 10s period and we struggle when we play one up front Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 21 Posted February 21 It's a brave call whatever the reasoning. As much as those players will know about IE, he knows about them. A game of chess. Quote
London Wanderer Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Come on lads Really hope Lincoln drop points and we come out firing today. Be nice to have them feeling a bit of pressure at least. Just got to focus on ourselves though Quote
deeane Koontz Posted February 21 Posted February 21 So long as it's Forino and Toal at centreback if we're not going with a three I'm happy. Not fussed about Johnston at fullback, it's a case of a more defensive minded player against their attacking wingback. Blackett-Taylor will give tear em a new one. Quote
deeane Koontz Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Surprised with Dempsey starting but having said that he'll score now 😉 Starting like a house on fire. 4-0 Dalby with 2 overhead headers. Dempsey and Blakett-Taylor Quote
