Would have preferred to avoid a derby on day one but actually PNE is quite a good one. Dunno about others but I never feel a huge rivalry with them but it is certainly always a very feisty matchday I

  • Nah, this will actually improve the attendance I reckon. Prime Saturday right before the league starts rather than shoe horned into a Tuesday night somewhere with second string squads playing. Good dr

Will the Gaul be playing then?

Should be alright, R3 fixtures are scheduled over two separate weeks so if one or both of us made it that far.I assume it would be during w/c 14 September instead.

Hopefully anyway.

£52 return for Milwall

not been for a while

That away end at Millwall has been split down the middle for next season, home fans in there now too.

Yes same week, hadn’t realised that. At least it only mucks about with a home game, but still feels to be odd scheduling given how many Championship sides would get through to that stage.

Here are the dates for the 2026/27 Carabao Cup:

  • Round one – Saturday 8 August

  • Round two – Wednesday 26 August

  • Round three – Wednesday 9 September or Wednesday 16 September*

  • Round four- Wednesday 28 October

  • Round five – Wednesday 16 December

  • Semi-finals – Wednesday 13 January & Wednesday 3 February

  • Final – Sunday 21 March

I would have said dont worry due to the above.

But since learned that fixtures can still be moved despite this. So stick it all up yer bum.

They’ll absolutely find a way of fucking it up

Stick the kids out in the first round. Although it would be nice to put Wednesday in their place.

Nah, treat it as the final pre-season friendly. As close to full strength as possible.

Someone had one of them at school from Shoot or wherever. Even back then I thought who could be arsed keeping that up to date 😃

Loved these. A highlight of my youth.

The lower, hidden bit, often had interesting info like ground name, capacity, club nickname.

I used to to a self invented shuffle-game with them &, though I never cheated (🤣😱) Bolton regularly won the league.

From the mid 70s for 6 or 7 years I kept it upto date every single week - during August.

And maybe September but only if we were in the top 4. So not after 77 then.

But getting them from Shoot in late July/early August was one of the highlights of pre-season along with getting the fixtures card for all the local teams out of the Pink.

does @Leyther_Matt have all his in excel with his gross spend next to each fixture?

Just given me a flashback to how exciting it was the morning your weekly comic popped through the letterbox.

@Casino likes this given last time we went he spent most of the second half ballooning with one of their fans who had a pink shirt on

why not, What's the worst that could happen

Ha ha. Getting the Pink was a Saturday evening staple for many years, getting all the results and updated tables as well as stuff about all the local teams, including non league (I know, football geek).

The Buff was great for BWFC and not much else! (except Bury). It also stopped being a Saturday evening paper in the 80s, so no football results unlike the old days.

Exactly, I mean the whole point of that completely separate away end with the compartmentalised walkway from the station was to keep everyone apart.

Be reet

I do for each month tbf. I manually put the fixtures in my phone calendar though because I found the automated ones meant I missed any rearrangements

You’d have to assume they’ve found a way of maintaining that

By any chance had you set it up from the sky sports website?

It was doing the same for me but I’ve deleted that one and added the version from the bwfc website - I think that’s updated if you want to reduce your admin.
