This is what we've all been waiting for folks, 7 years in the making, we went all the way down to the bottom, nearly in the relegation zone of the 4th division.

I really hope our fans make it intense and stick with it if thing start not going to plan on the pitch. Modern footballers seem to be very influenced by encouragement (or otherwise) from the stand and our home form will be very important. It sounds so hackneyed but we can be the 12th man - when the stadium is rocking BWFC fans create an intimidating atmosphere. Maybe its understandable that can be done every week but for a fixture of this significance surely we must. Come on folks!

Funny that we all feel that way, and understandably given where the squad is at (and injuries) at the moment.

We’re actually favourites - Preston are 9/4!

PNE are also all over the place squad wise. Just spoken to a PNE mate and his words were “we’ve sold our captain / CM and not replaced, we’ve not replaced loans, we’ve got a good keeper but 10 bags of shit in front of him”

They’re also turning up to a stadium with 27,000 in, off the back of promotion, high spirits etc. when they’re used to playing in front of 12-14k.

I think only we consider ourselves to be such underdogs in this game

First game of the season, at home, full house, local derby, higher league... bring it on.

Be interesting to see how we fare against an established Championship side

Just checked and it's on. I've done the Season Pass this year (which may just be a rolling monthly fee), per game was available last year though. The site is still saying 10 quid for eligible games, can't imagine that doesn't include today.

This was a response to posts listing Brunt as the obvious and nailed on starter tomorrow next to Sheehan. Brunt has been here four days and his last outing as a midfielder was two and a half years ago and two divisions below. His Wikipedia page might say he can play x, y, z position, but he doesn't. He plays as a centre half (when he plays). Watson has at least been playing the position, week in week out last season and for us in pre-season. OK fair point, it does count for something that Watson is used to playing in midfield.

I just wonder if SS trusts him currently. And for eg Brunt would clearly offer more defensively (set pieces etc) and that may be the way he wants to go, if he thinks Watson isn't yet ready. It's a reasonable debate, ability/experience over correct position. Taking it to the extreme, if we had no centre backs would we rather play an U21 CB that's been playing there since he was a kid, or put Dalby there because he's got the temperament and experience?

There's no right and wrong answer, its SS's call.

I've just been on and bought an annual pass for £180

but there was the option to buy the PNE game for £10

which I did a couple of times last season before realising I could go monthly, so you should be reet
