Cracking result, not ideal finishing the game with 4 CBs on the pitch and conceding a goal like that but from that starting 11 there wasn't a bad performance amongst them.

Showed some real character and fight, thoroughly enjoyable game.

Subs showed we still have work to do on the squad but hard to worry about that when we played that well early on. Great start.

We deserved that and played well, but defensively better teams will punish us, they got in behind a few times, they missed a 2 on goalie and that header right at the end would have been cruel.

Fully deserved to win but for me far too many unnecessary changes by Schuey for me completely ruined any cohesion we had. Very lucky on a few occasions not least that last minute chance but great way to start well done Whites. So many good performances today but Macca and Erhahon the stand outs.

We deserved that. Overall we were better. Thought Sheehan and Ethan bossed that midfield. Gale was quality. For 75 mins we dominated an established champ team. Onwards and upwards.

Was unlikely that we'd be quite as effective second half, and they were bound to come out scrapping.

Maybe better teams may test our defense more, but we've also got Brunt and more midfielders too.

Can't argue with that first up. Especially as Conway and Gale shouldn't be anywhere near championship football...

Looked excellent today, but ragged in the end with all the subs but got it over the line. Defo need another centre mid option.

Great performances all over the place, all the back 4 that started looked solid and composed, Gale was excellent as were the 2 midfield lads, Dalby and Macca looked a good pairing. Lazza the only one for me that was maybe a 6 but all round solid performance.

Get ACD back and we’re cooking.

EErahon and Gale joint MOTM. EE was solid and didn't put a step wrong. Rode our luck towards the end but great start to the season.

Very pleased. An excellent first 75 minutes. More players to come. (Even) More coherence when new players settle.

Big confidence boosts for Gale, McAtee, and Conway, and if the decision to rule out our third was for the "push" from McAtee then it's genuinely diabolical decision from the linesman

All that being the case, I think it's a reminder of where we're at now that as poor as they were, they managed to through us on a couple of occasions and really should've scored when Osmajic went through and also right at the death

They didn't though, and it's three points to us

For a first game with this team it was excellent and a great platform to build on.

Said all along McAtee Gale and Conway should be the first names on any Championship clubs team sheets.

At various points in that I thought

Just a shame we didn't get a third and put the game to bed early doors/

Larra didn't look a goal threat, but he's a silky player, good at ball retention, loved his lofted pass to Stephenson 2nd half, bit of class, would be better with an ACD type or the man himself preferably, that might be Illing Jr, 'cos Gale ain't being dropped after that performance, he had a couple of shots that reminded me of his version at times last season where they went wide and high, but overall was such a quality performance, his confidence was sky high, 'cos he was trying trivela passes and taking his man on often, we'll need that more consistently.
