fruitbat69 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Spoke to ticket office yesterday re-Guimaries tickets and said they won't be selling them till after the Zenit game. Not being funny and not criticising the ticket office (it seems to be not in there control) here but we only have 3 weeks from the Zenit game to the Guimaries game. Surely after the Plovdiv and Besiktas ticket problems, surely fans who are going are entitled to have the tickets in there hands at least 2 weeks before they travel or will we be picking up the tickets on a street corner in Guimaries This is not a dig at the ticket office staff who to me have always been most helpful but think it is high time Danny Reuben started doing his job as boss of communications and started putting pressure on Uefa/Guimaries to get these tickets well in advance. [-o< Rant over [-(
pike_mill_white Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 I blame the chinks Widnes - WTF!!!! But yeah, I agree.
exiledwhite2 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 They don't want folk spending money on them and perhaps then not spending on Zenit as a result maybe? I'm in full agreement tho - why not get the situation sorted now, well in advance. Then they could gauge demand and get the extra tickets we'll undoubtedly need ordered. As it is I fully expect to go through a right drama to get the Portugal tickets, I'm resigned to it in fact.

Carlos Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Went down to pick up my Besiktas tickets this morning, there was 1 window open and a queue of about 10 people, lunchtime is probably their most busy period - OPEN ANOTHER WINDOW. Stood there in the freezing cold watching people turn up, see the queue and drive off again - DOH!!!
randy_west Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Not concerned in the slightest with getting tickets before getting over to Portugal - it's hardly going to be a sell out.

Do the math people plus, if they are on a bad run of form, attendences may be even lower? current league standings: Team Pl PTS 1 Braga 7 17 2 Nacional 7 15 ..... 15 Uniao Leiria 7 5 16 Guimaraes 7 4 17 Maritimo 7 4 18 Penafiel 7 1 They have a slightly better record than everton though!! Everton: Pl 8, PTS 3
Widnes Two Hats Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 the locals wont exactly be queing for miles for a ticket. They will when we've 'shagged their women and drunk their beer, na nar na nar na'
Supersyd Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Just heard this from an 'OK' source! Will be given 1500 (yes we all knew that anyway), but the club has asked for 4000 in total. Info on Plovdiv tickets I gave in the past came from direct info given to me, this hasn't, so not 100% on this info. It does seem a high amount to ask for? However there are at least 10 planes going so far from various travel co's in addition to those making their own way there, so could 4000 be a realistic figure?
