wovlad Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown as it'll be difficult to avoid knowing the ending once the film comes out.
kent_white Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Understanding Power by Noam Chomsky (little bit of politics!)

Guest The Special One Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Saddo's Reading is for nerds especially on holiday.
Bea Smith Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Saddo's Reading is for nerds especially on holiday. why did you marry a nerd then?? p.s- i think youre a saddo for spending all your spare time on the pc or in front of the tele. whereas i prefer reading and listening to music, in fact, what exactly do we have in common oh special one.????? readers...- its easy to tend to read similar stuff all the time. get 3 books off 3 different people and read those, use the parts of your imagination that are not stimulated by your normal read. secondhand shops are a good bet. pay 50p for a book and if you dont like it theres nowt lost. ( except-as you may point out-50p) go to the library to try a new author, only spend dosh on a new book if youre familiar with the writers work.
richbwfc Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Anything by Chris Ryan or Andy McNab. Ryan is better though.

Wobbly J Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 'England Away' and 'Human Punk' - both by John King and IMO better reads than The Football Factory 'Unreliable memoirs' - by Clive James is the funniest book I've read 'A season with Verona' - by Tim Parks . Good account of his year following Hellas Verona F.C home and away
