maybe they could introduce a local number for the ticket office, rather than the premium rate line they currently have!

Surely 'reasonable' would be allowing supporters to call a local number at less than half the price! There was absolutely no reason for the club to switch to an 0870 number except to rip-off their own supporters! If you're on hold for 20 minutes before you finally get through, you have already spent ?2.00 just for the privilege of buying a ticket from your own club!

Membership has been ?25 for the last 2 seasons. If it's now ?35, that's a major hike.

if the club what to charge them matchday prices,then come oct/nov when were averaging 21'0009(if were doing well). they will be in the press slagging the fans off.

 

if the club is always looking out for potential fans,then we are behind every other prem league club in the north west,

blackburn and wigan season tickets are approx 300 quid, its a business you've got to compete.

 

as a neutral fan what would somebody do.

 

see you all in a local boozer watching the matches. till the club can come up with a sensible price.

Couldn't be arsed to look it up - I must admit I thought it was 30 odd pounds last season but I might be wrong.

 

If we cut the difference and say ?30, then you get your money back on watching just 3 'A+' matches. Can't be bad eh?

dont agree with the phone call tariff, especially when it can be 20 minutes to get an answer, but for me the prices are set reasonably on season tickets, the price per game issue needs looking at but for those who pick and choose there games should expect to pay a bit extra for that privelidge.

Wigan's higher prices and lower crowds last season would suggest that it is all about price.

 

Whelan dropped his prices the Saturday before Christmas and got 22,000 against Chelsea when he got 15,000 against Arsenal a fortnight before.

wigans prices are amongst the cheapest in the league and they get the lowest gates.

 

i think it should be cheaper to watch football, but given the moans from people about prices i was surprised how cheap it is to watch certain games.

I just about got my money back.

 

I think the club are doing what they can to make money. If they cut the tickets 50%, most games still would not sell out. Sadly, there isn't the interest in paying for football when it is free on the tv etc.

 

Hopefully if Little Sam plays some attacking football, a few more will come back.

 

For me to drive 200 miles per game and pay over ?60 (petrol, ticket etc) I was gutted to hear Sam A come out with statements like, "Rooney is world class, if he plays well we will lose" or, "I will be happy with nil nil and a clean sheet" before the City game.

 

And if anyone wants to have a pop at the club, look at the car park charge. Bastards

The main problem is the club not offering season tickets at a price that will sell 20000+. I said it at the time, the discount will and has made a positive impact on our ST sales. This was the clubs first chance to do something about crowds and it looks like they have fcuked this one up aswell.

 

ST sales down on last seasons numbers.

?22 is based on a lifeline member buying a season ticket before the deadline.

TV viewers are the consumers. Of course, Bolton can't be unilateral in this - that realisation has to come from the PL as a whole.

same argument applies it is a decent price, they should make more of the deals available and tickets for adults taking 2 or more.kids.

I've said many times that gate money is an increasingly small proportion of revenue to the extent that teams playing attractive football + passionate full-houses will be considered the key success factor. Whether one measures success as entertainment or clubs making profit. The way it is going, armchair fans will soon switch off and the gravy train will stop.

 

Dull football a la FSA style + half-empty stadia = a recipe for disaster in terms of the TV deals of the future. But as you say, Satan, it needs all the Premier League clubs to acknowledge that no atmosphere is less entertainment = less TV money. Fortunately, for them, the new TV deal has been signed and the short-termist nature of success means the Club can continue not giving a shit about their fans.

 

At least, in the case of BWFC, the Club is trying something to appeal to regular fans (ST holders), though I agree there's plenty of scope to reach out to casual fans who do not have a ST for variety of reasons.
