no balls Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 spot on, thankfully those who went did lift the team and made a reasonable atmosphere, if you care for BWFC it is time to get of your arses and support the club again. Indeed. I'm not sure what the attendance was today, other than piss poor, but at times it was a vocal as a full house. All of those there, should be proud of that. All those who can't be arsed, you missed a decent display today. And to the yoof, every credit to those in Chav corner today!
Ani Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 I do not give a fcuk who turns up and who does nt. today was a decent atmosphere, would rather have people there who give a fcuk about the club than trying to ship people in who do not. We should spend more time enjoying being Bolton fans and less time analysing stuff.
MickyD Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Atmosphere was tremendous today. Especially in the area in which I sit, near the fence between West stand and Away Mongtards. Makes for some great piss taking.
MickyD Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Notice too today that the bottom 15 or so rows of seats in the middle of the East Upper are padded. I presume they're for Lion of Vienna Club patrons. Well where were they? My guess is only 10-15% of those seats were taken.

Is it the missing "10 year deal ran out & they wanted to charge 10 times the original price to renew" Lion of Vienna members? Bit obvious when you sell a load of seats together and then nobody renews when the original deal runs out.
scoobydoo Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 well done to every one who turned up today just hope all the others who watched it in the pub or couldn't be arsed are looking forard to another away day in europe DO YOU NOT CARE THAT YOU ARE SLOWLY KILLING OUR CLUB. no doubt you will moan when our best players have left..... it is your fault too f**king right ...have the lancaster whites organised another ban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TIME TO SHOW YOUR TRUE COLOURS WHITES
MickyD Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Lancaster Whites organise a boycott of a league game? You're kidding, they'll only boycott cup games that are extra expense over and above the S/T they've already paid for!
bradowfen Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Indeed. I'm not sure what the attendance was today, other than piss poor, but at times it was a vocal as a full house. All those who can't be arsed, you missed a decent display today. And to the yoof, every credit to those in Chav corner today! if everyone who had ever been to the wanderers in days gone by still went to every game there would be a ground full of pensioners and no room for those kids in e stand upper on a one off trip or whatever. they were enjoying themselves and had to laugh as they were singing 'time to go' to the wigan fans. they must have been 10 year old, bob on to whoever was in charge of them there parents would be proud, start em young. good atmosphere all round today, helps when the goals go in something we aint that used to. long may it continue.
Cheshirewhite Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 today all the stay aways must have been p*ssed off when they saw the result, lets get behind the team, if not we could be looking at the loss of our stars come January
jolly-olly Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Good job the wiganers swelled the crowd. I see all the part timers who went to the scum game decided to stay away. Well they can stay away for me cos they are closet scum fans.
Smiffs Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Is it the missing "10 year deal ran out & they wanted to charge 10 times the original price to renew" Lion of Vienna members? Bit obvious when you sell a load of seats together and then nobody renews when the original deal runs out. tell me more
bristol_wanderer Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Crowd was 20309. Wigan brought 1800-1900 so 18400-18500 home fans which was 1500 or so up on the Villa and Boro games. So some positive signs. Also as stated above, the atmosphere was better today - well done to those in the area under the scoreboard and in the North lower. The chants of "We are the one and only Wanderers" came at a time when Wigan seemed to visibly tire, and may have contributed that extra few % to them doing so. There even seemed to be more passion in my area of the West Stand upper today - particularly when the ref booked Guthrie for blocking a pass - at which point a few of us almost ended up in the row in front! Once people stop going, it is hard to get back into the habit, so those of us that are still going and/or still care must lead the way and generate as much as possible a positive environment to go with that that seems to exist within the club. Might have to talk nicely to t'other half to get a pass for City now. C'mon you whites.
RED_STAR_BELGRADE Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 when we lose RS we sing like we win!!!that is true love!!! on delije forum while i read i saw some posts where they sad that you was very good when you aplaud to them (DELIJE),because they sing after the game like they win!!!!
Casino Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) top and bottom of this is that people have to want to part with their cash the 'product' has to be attractive (whether thats rivers of piss in the bogs or glorious 6-0 wins every week, everybody needs a thrill for their cash) if it's not, for whatever reason, then folk won't turn out thats their choice however my opinion fwiw is that once you stop chucking your money in the pot, you stop moaning when 'the club show no ambition' you lose the right bwfc have to (well, actually they don't) entice people back and i don't mean the ones who can't afford it at any point in this ramble Edited December 9, 2007 by Casino
MickyD Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 my opinion fwiw is that once you stop chucking your money in the pot, you stop moaning when 'the club show no ambition' you lose the right Possibly the most common sensical thing you've ever said on here. Nothing pisses me off more than the people that knock the way we play, the lack of ambition, the lack of transfer cash, the list goes on and on, then say "It's why I stopped going five years ago."
BWFCOLINH58 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 it is this simple, if you can make a home or away game-- and maybe not both in the same week / does not make you any more or less of a fan.. is the man who goes to church every week, or the man who can recite the bible ad nasium... the better christian
Guest william bear Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 anybody who regularly misses home games cannot call themselves supporters..
MickyD Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 But, to use Casino's alalogy: The bloke who never goes to church but knows the bible backwards; is he allowed to call this morning's sermon crap if he never heard it?
frank_spencer Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 surely the whole point of being a supporter of a team is to support them through the good and bad. it was good to see when we were playing poorly today that the crowd was getting behind the team rtather than getting on the backs, well barring the joey barton lookalike who sits at the back of the North Lower who was saying everyone was shit from the first minute.

You always get one. Try telling him to fcuk off. He may get the message.
