Atletico lives a luxury: It travels to England

England is not the inventor of football: They are the football itself. And the others ones play here on borrowed time. Surely we play better on almost cases, but the ball is theirs. If we look at pure competition, we look at italian calcio and, if we want art, we point at our own league, but history, mysticism, the intangible thing that it is all, it is britain. Because of this, when Atl?tico de Madrid will go to field next thursday, it will be its true return back to Europe. And that proletarian Bolton, proud and historical, is a splendid rival. Because of in this time of globalization or premier league, of metrosexual Cristiano Ronaldo?s United, of "Chelski" of Abramovich, of french style Wenger?s Arsenal and of Spanish Liverpool of Benitez and Torres, Bolton is mere tradition. What can we wait of a team which it call itself 'the wanderers' and which nickname is 'the trotters' ? The answer is direct football, force, pressure and english majority in the staff. The same thing today than 133 years ago.

Sure there will be somebody that it looks them and he laughs, it will see prehistoric and old-fashioned. I will not be that one. What I see is the first team to win a match in Wembley. It was its first Cup Championship, in the mythical White Horse Match in 1928, when almost 300.000 people that crowded the stadium forced the Police to evacuate the field of game. I also see the worthy loser of 1953?s final, when near forty-years-old Stanley Matthews led Blackpool to overcome the 1-3 score. I also see the fans who take the injuries of Burnden Park disaster, 33 victims in 1946. I also see the team that raised from mud of 4th division and recover its place between the best teams. I also see, in short, pure football. A real luxury for Atl?tico.

Today there's an article from burnden asda's apparently

AS in Asda

Thanks to Babelfish:

The Athletic one will face an important piece of the history of English soccer tomorrow. The legend of the Bolton follows lives in a supermarket, the ASDA Superstore, the commercial center that rises where before it was the Burnden Park, mythical stage of the English club. In this supermarket friso of historical photographies of the Bolton Wanderers can be seen, one of the 12 clubs founders and participants in the first edition of the English league (Accrington, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, Derby County, Everton, Notts County, Preston North End, Stoke, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers), there per 1888, fourteen years after the birth of the Trotters, sobrename with which she knows herself the equipment. Nevertheless, the first successes of the Bolton did not arrive until the decade of the 20. It was in his third attempt in the end of the FA Cup when it obtained his first title. In 1923 it won by 2-0 to the West Ham and trotter David Sack made history when becoming the first player in marking in Wembley. It was first of the four triumphs that east equipment in the older competition of soccer of the world has. In 1926 it won to him to City, in 1929 to the Portsmouth and had to spend almost 30 years, until 1958, to achieve his last great success when Nat Lofthouse, the best player of the history of the Bolton, marked two goals to him the United in the end. Between averages the Bolton underwent some blows that also characterize their history. The first and most dramatic one has to do with its field, Burnden Park. People also remember with special affection the one that was during 102 years the house of trotters, but the shade of the tragedy. The 9 of March of 1946, just before del beginning del Bolton-Stoke of the sixth round of the FA Cup, died asphyxiated 33 fans al to be buried by a people avalanche who had fallen from the superior launching slip. That day the authorities did not anticipate the effect Stanley Mathews. People crowded themselves to see the mythical player and the gauging exceeded the 60,000 people fully. The disaster of Burnden Park caused that the authorities changed the norms of security in the stages for the first time. It was not the first time that Mathews appeared in a negative episode in the history of the Bolton. In 1953, the Bolton succumbed in the end of the Glass before the Blackpool after being winning by 1-3. Nevertheless, "the technique of Mathews and the goals of Mortensen caused that we sank the knee by 4-3", remember with weighing the oldest fans. The Bolton was digressing by English soccer until the season 86-87, blackest of its history. When it touched bottom and it lowered to the Fourth Division. It was an equipment elevator until in 1999, Sam Allardyce became position of the equipment. Four years before, the Bolton left its legendary field, like wanting to bury the past tragic. It left to Burnden Park and it was transferred to a stage to the outskirts that the name took from the patrocinador. Burnden became a great supermarket in that gigantic photographies of the history of the club are conserved, some of which they reproduce in these pages. They shake to see the images of 1946 with the tragedy of the stage of the Bolton. With Allardyce and the Reebok Stadium, the Bolton has lived one second golden time. Since then they have been passing great figures like Djorkaeff, Ferdinand, Fernando Iron, Iv?n Field, Okocha Of the hand of Allardyce the equipment got to make debut in 2005 in European competition. Now the Athletic one is crossed in its way, which will be also an historical appointment for the Bolton, pure essence of English soccer. In this city nobody wants to lose the party before the Athletic one, that in England also enjoys a great poster and is considered like one of the historical ones of Spanish soccer. Goslin: a myth that died in World War II One of the first legend of the Bolton is Harry Goslin (1909-1943). This defense was the captain of trotters in 1939. It had arrived in 1930 from the Boots Athletic and made debut with a defeat by 7-2 before the Liverpool. It is considered like one of the best defenses of the history of English soccer with 306 parties and 23 goals. And it is located to him like patriotism example. In 1939 it communicated his fans who he and fourteen of their companions had decided to get ready in the Armed Forces to serve in World War II. The fifteen were recruited by the 53 artillery regiment of Bolton. Goslin quickly promoted sergeant. Its division participated in the crudest battles of the conflict: Dunkerque, the Alamein and the conquest of Italy. It was there, in the transalpino country, where it was killed the 18 of December of 1943. Today Goslin is remembered with its name recorded in the monument to the fallen soldiers of Bolton in the two World wars in Nelson Square, in downtown. Burnden Park was used during the Second War like supplying warehouse, for that reason in 1946 it presented/displayed defects that also collaborated to the tragedy that was lived in this stage.
