Ginger Mourinhio

His time is up, had more than a fair crack of the whip, turgid boring, bad team formation, too slow making subs to change the game, has not got a clue or even worse does not care what the fans want, completely at odds with everything BWFC used to stand for, contrary to his view of BWFC we are not a team or club who will put up with his tactics which mirror the last 18 months of FSA reign, in short a bad appointment that needs terminating immiediately.

excellent point, is it not the managers job to get him to push on? or has he said to the midfield 3 to hold.

A manager asks players to do certain jobs. Nolan must be doing what he is being asked or he'd be dropped or told to get forward more.

Shud have gone after the fulham game , out of his depth.

Game on Saturday was an opportunity lost .........the dingles were not at full strength , sometimes a manager has to take a chance & trust the players HE has brought in such as Riga & Smolarek

Lack of ambition is a killer in the prem ....I thought Muamba was terrible the introduction of Ricardo gave us a bit of zip , but Megson is a cautious man .

We have drawn two home games 0-0 , maybe a more attack minded manager would have gambled in both games against opposition that were definately beatable .I would sooner lose one game

& win the other rarther than draw both, especially 0-0.

I think his post match interview summed up his football philosophy when he talked up the dangers of the game ' opening up if you dont take your chances'....just how many chances was he talking

about ?

I have nothing against Megson & I am grateful to him for keeping us up but the bottom line is that he is a 'point a game ' manager ,whether that will be enough to keep us up this season is another matter.

I hope he proves me wrong & I get stuffed with humble pie...........but I doubt it.

I agree that Megson is a point a game man...

although i remember Alladyce using that quote once...

for me it was his opportunity to show with his full strength squad, against a injury plagued opposition what he could do...he blew it...

he is obsessed with playing his own signings....Gardner playing for Jamaica and hence being tired, played straight into his arms...justifying his inclusion of Taylor...

It was screaming for a double substitution of gardner and riga with 20 minutes to go...

the man lacks balls...

although i think his set up is suited to playing away....but not at home...a result at spurs will not fill me with confidence if it is closely followed by defeats to Everton and City...

A question... if we'd played 442, really gone for it and got beat 3-2, would people be happier?

Not antagonising or having a pop, it's a genuine question.

His away record isnt that good.

No

Points is everything

it's a trick question

"really gone for it"

must think we were born yesterday

were we 3-0 down in this game or 2-0 up?

need to know all the facts before deciding if I'm happy or angry

the win against stoke came from a lucky goal then there heads went down for 20mins when we score the other 2

the win at west ham came from there keeper we didn't even look like scoring before he gifted that goal to super Kev

Surely if we're having this kind of bollocks logic, then...

The draw against West Brom only came after the referee gave a free-kick for handball when the offence happened three yards inside the box.

The loss against Arsenal came from an offside equiliser.

The loss against Man Utd came after a penalty was given for a world class tackle.

But of course, when we win it's a fluke, and when we lose it's because Megsons a ragging shite gary neville.

I thought it was disapointing that we didn't win, but i'll live. If we'd drawn with West Ham and beat the Dingles there'd be a lot less complaints.

It's a daft question to be fair

You are implying that playing 442 spells certain defeat but I see United and others winning with it

But to answer the loaded question - I would be happier yes. On one occasion. Because the man is TOO cautious and it's costing us points at home that we need.

united don't play 4-4-2

united don't play 4-4-2

Sky think they do.

united don't play 4-4-2

Well, I dunno, but that's not the point anyway... they play lots of attacking players, we play the absolute bare minimum.

Would I have taken a 3-2 defeat over a 0-0 - 442 or not, but we 'had a go' - yes. Because in the long run his negativity will kill us.

obviously its all about balance and im very happy to take a few 0-0's if it means plenty of 1-0's follow in the near future.

that is a fair point...one highlighted to me coming away from the ground on Saturday...

we probably would of expected 3 pts from our last two games...we got four..

just dressed up a different way it looks crap...

Playing as direct as we do and with one up front we need players to get forward quickly in support of the attack but they don't. Megson's too cautious for that, there will be a fair few more 0-0's this season but we'll do enough to stay up, not much more.

It's a difficult balancing act. Just over twelve months ago we went for it against Everton with the game at 1-1 and lost.

If we're still shit after the city game then i'll be getting upset but saturday was only the 2nd 90mins where we've had our 1st choice 11 available

Save yourself time Frank, you might as well get upset now, have recovered and be used to it. We will still be sh*t after the City game. What on earth is gonna change to radically alter that?

Wafer thing squad with no creativity or goals and a distinctly boring and average Gaffer.

Don't waste good optimism ... its a very precious thing and this bunch aint worth your hopes N dreams Frank.

Listen to the overwhelming 'drum beat' now... let it go!

Will people stop saying that the manager is too negative. One person said it and the rest are following like sheep.

Do you honestly think that the tactics were to play for a draw at home to Blackburn? Get real. We set out to win the game and came away with one point, just as Fulham did and Aston Villa did. Have they got sh!te managers as well?

And to suggest that Nolan hasn't got licence to join the attack when we are pushing forward is just taking the Megson bashing to the extreme.

If he is as negative as some fans say then what is the excuse for winning by two clear goals away from home last week? and did we look like we had ten men behind the ball against Arsenal when we went 1 - nil up ?

At ManU we would have taken the lead if Muamba hadn't missed the sitter and at St.James's we would have taken the lead if the penalty had gone in. Are these the tactics of a manager that plays for 0-0 every week ???

Give him a chance FFS

spot on,as always

think we're in the minority though

Sorry to disagree with Zozzy and Alf but I believe Gary Megson sets up his teams to 'not lose' rather than to win. Law of averages says you will win some of those games (and, of course, you will lose some). Don't know Alf but I know Zoz is as loyal to BWFC as anyone could be. I just think that sometimes, that loyalty becomes a blind faith and you fail to see something which is patently obvious. I have blind faith too and would still follow BWFC if we ended up in the Hollands Pudding & Pies North West Saturday League but every now and again you have to take off the white tinted spectacles and ask yourself what is best for the club. My personal opinion is that Gary Megson isn't.

I do not dislike Gary Megson. Seems a decent bloke. I just don't think he is right for our club if we want to do anything other than fight for survival.

and Allardyce did what?

the problem is, 14/15 other teams in the Premiership do this also. Therefore, it wouldn't matter who was manager, our first priority in a game is to get at least a point, and the first priority for the season is to get 40 of the bastards.

and Allardyce did what?

Sorry mate but on this one we are at odds. Any team with the likes of Djorkaeff and Okocha is not set up to get draws. Yes, you can argue that, towards the end he may have gone a bit too defensive (when the stars had gone).

Before you respond, not only could Megson not sign players like that, he would not sign them. Agree that a solid defence is a pre requisite of any good/great/championship team but you need the weapons further forward too.

Alf was right. Those content with Gary Megson at the helm would be in the minority. If he stays, I am convinced he will eventually take us down. Delighted if he proves me wrong.

is not set up to get draws.

Didn't say Allardyce or Megson were set up to get draws - they both set up not to lose, there's a big difference.

(when the stars had gone).

The 'Stars' were no longer available, Allardyce himself said those kinds of transfers don't happen anymore. Before anyone says "Geovanni" - he was great at Citeh until it started getting cold - that's why no-one else took a gamble on him, you really think he would've chosen Hull over anyone else in the Premiership?

could Megson not sign players like that, he would not sign them.

See above. Those players (Djorkaeff, Okocha, Hierro, Campo) are not available on frees anymore. Allardyce struggled at the end because he couldn't sign those kind of freebies. Whether Megson would is irrelevant. Megson is signing younger players than Allardyce ever did. He doesn't sign foreign shite like Blessing Kaku for the sake of a backhander (allegedly). Megson has managed to persuade people like Matt Taylor and Gary Cahill to choose us, so he must be doing something right when it comes to selling his 'vision' for Bolton Wanderers.
