That has slightly bucked me up, I know he was very highly rated it just seems that his career has gone downhill fast, hopefully the injuries have not dimmed his ability and that all he needs to recapture his previous form is games.

They are Megson style signings. Stop believing the claptrap that is printed in the papers. He is on the look out for experienced attack minded foreign internationals and young English talents alike. Megson has been sending scouts to many different countries since he became our manger. One of the scouts was at the last BWSA meeting and confirmed this. He has different scouts travelling to different areas e.g. African Nation Countries, Scandinavia, Baltics and the Midlands just West of Nottingham.

we do have one of the best scouting systems in the country.

Wes Brown would surely be a great sigining? he wouldnt have to move away from Manc area, we could offer him first team football and possibly the captains armband, him and Cahill would be a great partnership. He's further behind Rio and Vidic with Evans now above him in the pecking order.

He would yes. However as Englands #1 right back I think we would have to pay more than Man City paid for Wayne Bridge. I do not think he wants to leave Man U and I do not think they would sell him.

 

If I'm wrong about any of the above then it is more likely he would be wanted by every other Premier League club and there's no doubt he would prefer to go to a top 6 team before ourselves.

 

I'm not wanting to have a go here but there are lots of players I could say would be a great signing for us... but we do have to be realistic.

Good shout. But as Arnold said, I think he'd cost too much. Maybe a loan to get him match fit again and put himslef in the window for summer.
