In megson we trust

Now you're taking the piss stop it.

Please god Barton isn't part of the deal

Injured for 8 weeks so I doubt it.

Question from me is how much?

Newcastle are often daft with their money. He is worth a lot to us due to the fact he has been here 10 years, he is the captain, he is seen as one of our main and best players (to people outside the club who don't see him week in week out).

For me it has to be circa ?8m, also taking into consideration the daft prices around for players.

Please god Barton isn't part of the deal

He's out injured for a few weeks isn't he ? Surely not ...

If the Nolan story is true, it won't be a sudden decision - I hope. It will have been thought through for a while. Which means (given our shortage of midfield players) a replacement should be on his way in. Shouldn't it ... ?

Didn't see this coming!

Megson must have someone lined up - you wouldn't sell your captain without anyone else lined up. It can't be Barton as he's out for 10 weeks.

He's had a lot of shit but Nolan has given us some great memories and has been a great servant to the club. I think this move might be the best for all concerned. =D>

Two years ago was on verge of England but now I'm afraid the time is right

Adi?s Nobby , all the best

Welcome miguel ?????????????

A club with no permanent manager, an owner that wants to sell, and with a huge debt.

As many on here point out the bar codes have achieved nothing for years so why would he want to go there?

As for the so called boo boys, he may be pi$$ed off but Megson doesn't have to sell, and he keeps picking him so presumably rates him.

For all Megson's complaints about squad size, it seems a strange move, unless a replacement or two is coming.

Has Nolan realised Big Sam's not there anymore?

If Nolans gone for ?8m and we get Veloso for ?12m I will be very happy!

If you think he's seriously going to go to Newcastle because of the way Bolton supporters have been behaving then you are extremely naive.

Even if Nolan stated that, it's simply an excuse.

As posted elsewhere, the Geeordie faithful were singing "Joe Kinnear you're having a laugh" at Blackburn at the prospect of him becoming their Manager on a perm basis.

Frying pan - fire.

if i thought he'd get back to where he was in 2003 I'd be annoyed

as it is I'm dissapointed

but he's been below par for quite some time, at least 3 years I'd say

there's only so far heart, soul and pointing will take you in the premier league

slightly dissapointing but he's not the player he was

that said no replacement would be a bit daft mind

unless matt davies is his replacement

because I doubt it will be veloso

good luck kev, you'll need it...

Good servant to Bolton but very much a Sam player, but I have to say based on last 2 seasons form I will get my car and drive him up there.

good luck kev, you'll need it...

aye becaues if he thought we could be tw?ts when we wanted to be..

and there's more of them

wonder how many are packed outside st james right now

Now your just being silly ?3mil

Head wobbling time my friend

Gutted, think more cos he's been there with all the good, such as goals at Old Traff, Plovdiv, Blackburn, good luck Kev, Meggo best replace now :good:

Nolan stayed at home to get fit last week instead of sunning himself with his team mates.

What a set of fibbers he was with his new team mates.

Long overdue in my opinion.Wonder who'll replace him. Can't think of any good Star jumpers/Pointers off the top of my head.

I agree with what Zico says pretty much. At one point last season, I thought we were always a better team with him in it, now I'm not so sure. It will be interesting to see what the fee is. It will also be interesting to see why we have agreed to sell him to "relegation rivals", unless of course they have offered stupid money for him. In todays transfer market, I reackon a fee of around ?5M would be fair to him. He's certainly not the player he was, and maybe he feels he needs a move.

He does leave us with some great memories though, and I wish him all the best for the future. Wonder who his repalcement will be? (I assume/hope one is lined up, and virtually signing as we speak!)

Good luck to the lad. He's been a great servant to the club. To all his boo boys all i can say is you'll realise how much Nolan is needed when he's gone but it will be too late then. Lets just hope that turnip in charge has a replacement of the same quality....doubtful

i hope mark davies is good as megson is expecting... or he has a BIG signing in the pipeline!

Part of me thinks Meggo is doing this as a form of revenge. Am I paranoid?

part of me tells me he regrest his outburst earlier and is trying to win us over

?4.5M on sky i think it just said

oooooooh your for it now....

you called megson a Turnip...

FIRTHY...FIRTHY....quick come and see....

Perhaps it's the only way we could get Barton to partner him in midfield.

Only leaves tricky, Nicky Hunt, Joey O'Brien, Kev Davies and Jussi from Sam era.

Wouldn't surprise me if Gardner and Hunt went before the deadline either, given neither are first team regulars

well if its true, i will be sad to see him leave, the lad has bolton written through him.

the only good point is if he goes to a bigger club, he could well get in the england set up..

good luck kev, and if you play against the mackems, i nwill have you for first goal.

will be pissed of if Nolan goes but came blame the lad hope the fucktards who constantly give him shit at the matches are proud of themselves i fell he will be missed and i dont hold much hope for a better replacement probably get geremi as part of the deal  anyway NOLAN = LEGEND for me
